Jungle Night Walk in Phong Nha – Spot Wildlife After Dark
Looking for an offbeat way to experience Phong Nha? This Jungle Night Walk is the only one of its kind in the area—and it's something truly special. While most travellers are tucked in for the night, you'll be venturing deep into the National Park as the jungle comes alive with sounds, sights, and nocturnal wildlife. It’s not just sightseeing—it’s a front-row seat to nature’s secret night show. This is perfect for wildlife lovers, photographers, and curious souls who want to see a different side of the jungle. You’ll be joined by passionate local guides who know exactly where to look and what to listen for. Think of it like a jungle hide-and-seek—only instead of people, you're spotting owls, bats, frogs, insects and (if you’re lucky) even tree snakes!Unlike typical night walks, this experience takes you right into the heart of the secondary rainforest. You’ll even walk through a stream, so it’s a proper adventure. And with the group kept small and gear provided, it’s safe and fun even for first-timers. Plus, you'll be supporting guides who genuinely care about wildlife conservation—win-win!What to ExpectEvening pick-up from your hotel in Phong NhaLocal dinner before the adventure beginsGuided night walk in the National Park to spot wildlifePossible sightings: owls, frogs, crabs, spiders, lizards, tree snakes, and moreSmall group experience with passionate and experienced guidesFlashlights, walking sticks, water and snacks all includedGood to KnowThis involves walking through streams—bring shoes you don’t mind getting wetThe walk is around 4–5 hours and suitable for beginners with moderate fitnessTour runs daily and includes round-trip hotel transfers within Phong NhaKeep your camera ready but be respectful of the wildlife—this is their home

Hai has spent years working in nature conservation at Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, and he’s now sharing that experience in a way that truly matters. He started these tours not just to show off the park’s amazing caves and rainforest, but to support the local community and protect wildlife. All the guides and porters are locals who once relied on the forest to survive—but now, thanks to tourism, they have a better way forward. A portion of each tour goes directly to wildlife rescue efforts, helping animals in need. For Hai, it’s always been about giving back—to the land, the people, and the animals that make this place so special.
