Meet your host
Daniel Tan started Food Playground back in 2012 after leaving his job in the travel industry. A year of exploring South America and Southeast Asia opened his eyes to the power of cooking to bring people and cultures together. He learned to cook dishes from Thailand to Peru, and loved how food connected him with locals and their stories. That experience sparked the idea for Food Playground. What really makes Daniel stand out is the way he’s built a space that gives stay-at-home mums and active seniors flexible, meaningful work. Everyone on his team comes from these often-overlooked groups, and Daniel’s focus has always been on giving them a chance to shine.
