This is an immersive half-day private kayaking trip through Pulau Ubin's mangrove forests with a unique itinerary! You will explore a hidden abandoned WW2 coastal defence site and shuck oysters on the kayak in the middle of the mangroves - really quite a surreal experience!Option Highlights ✅ One of the longest kayaking trip on inflatable double-seater kayaks(4 to 4.5hrs on-water time)x✅ Kayak through Pulau Ubin from north (facing Malaysia) to south ✅ Traverse deep mangroves and spot wildlife like eagles, wild boars and otters✅ Explore a hidden abandoned WW2 coastal defence site✅ Shuck oysters from a local farm on the kayak in the mangroves (15 oysters per group!)✅ Included lunch at a floating restaurant (1 rice/noodle dish and drink per person)✅ Short hike up Puaka Hill, the highest point on Ubin, for stunning viewsOption DetailsEscape to a very different Singapore and indulge in a series of unique experiences unlike other kayaking trips — explore the mysterious mangrove forests, shuck locally-farmed oysters on the kayak, dig into lunch at a floating restaurant, and spot wildlife like otters and eagles — all while learning about Ubin's hidden history.Apart from kayaking, you will also get to hike to the highest point of Ubin at 76 metres, passing through rocky terrain and trails circled with thick growths of wild ferns. From the summit, enjoy the beautiful sight of verdant forests, cobalt-blue quarry waters, and over to Singapore and Malaysia!This trip will end at Ubin village, but you can easily return to Changi Ferry Terminal via a public bumboat at $4/person.Important NoteDifficulty level of this option: Medium. A basic level of physical strength and endurance is neededParticipants should be able to swim 50m with a life jacket, be comfortable with getting a bit muddy, and with being surrounded by nature.Participants will be using inflatable double seater kayaks and will be required to help carry the kayaks, especially when doing land crossings or when making pit stops.Start and end points - Changi Point Ferry TerminalTrips are suitable for children 7-12 years old, if the child isaccompanied by a participant above the age of 18 in the same kayak (or in same kayak as the guide)able to swim 50m with a life jacketcomfortable and able to stay calm in the water with a life jacket.All trips are private tours: Start time (may vary between 7am to 12pm) would be contingent on tides of the day, and will be confirmed only one week prior to the trip.
