Review Body: Had an amazing time at this workshop, which got us feeling like stepping into a charming little museum dedicated to the art of taxidermy, with a cozy and welcoming vibe. The hosts were incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to answer all our questions, whether about the intricate processes involved or fascinating fun facts about butterflies and moths. For the workshop, we could choose four butterfly, and an option to upgrade to rarer butterfly specimens. The hosts were incredibly patient, guiding us step by step—from selecting and pairing our butterflies to arranging them perfectly in the display space. Overall had a really fun experience and a beautiful piece to display at home now!

Review Body: We did a butterfly taxidermy workshop for my girlfriend’s birthday. At first I was apprehensive about doing it but I am happy to say that I had a lot of fun. Em was very well educated on all the questions that we had and made the process very informative and lighthearted. We made two beautiful displays using locally sourced, ethically gathered butterflies and local plants and flowers. Overall the experience was very well worth it and I would highly recommend to anyone remotely interested in insects or taxidermy.

Review Body: Was a really good time, the workshop only had my friend and i and the staff was lovely showing us around the store filled with their cool works and sharing fun facts about the different species of butterflies and how they do their work. She was patient in guiding us when we were piecing together our rodent skeleton. Overall a fantastic experience and will be asking my company if we could come here for potential team bonding as they provide corporate rates as well.

Review Body: What a wonderful workshop! The staff clearly cares about the ethical sourcing of their materials. I felt like I was in an arts and craft science class and was given great directions and support with assembling the bird skeleton. They even had decorations to make it festive for the winter holidays! A truly unique experience that is not to be missed if you are a science nerd or appreciate creating one of a kind artwork.

Everyone was engrossed in the creation of a craft, and we were proud to take home such a unique art. The animals used are ethically sourced locally. Make your own jewellery set with real butterfly wings or bone
How do we honour nature’s beauty without taking from it, and instead, preserving its story? In this highly unique workshop, you’ll design and craft your own accessory (x1 Necklace OR x2 Bracelets) using real butterfly wings or bone, ethically sourced and carefully preserved by professional taxidermists. This isn’t your typical jewellery-making class as you’ll be working with natural specimens up close, learning to see their beauty, fragility, and strength in a completely new way.Guided by passionate hosts who blend taxidermy, storytelling, and hands-on making, you’ll create wearable art that honours wildlife rather than imitates it. Whether you’re drawn to a butterfly whose ephemeral beauty lives on, or a carefully prepared bone as a nod to nature’s cycles, your jewellery becomes a personal reflection of nature’s cycles and transformations - and no two pieces are ever the same! It's perfect if you're into nature and its beauty, love crafting with a twist, or want to walk away with something you genuinely can't find in a shop. What to ExpectDesign and create either x1 Necklace OR x2 Bracelets using real butterfly wings or bone pendantsAll materials are ethically sourced - no butterflies were harmed for this workshopAccent your piece with a buffet of polished and freeform crystals, glass beads, pearls and hypoallergenic metal findingsLearn about texture, symbolism, and balance in jewellery designStep-by-step guidance in a relaxed and creative spaceLeave with a one-of-a-kind set of wearable art full of meaningGood to KnowAll materials and tools will be provided, including ethically sourced specimensHypoallergenic findings are used for comfortAges 10+ – Suitable for older kids and adults.Only the individual attending the workshop is allowed to be in the studio for the duration of the workshop.
