In this intimate silversmithing workshop, you’ll learn to craft a personalised 925 silver ring, focusing on process, texture, and making something your own. With just five participants per session in a calm studio setting, the workshop is intentionally unhurried, creating space to be present with the making process.Your host Rachel has been handcrafting jewellery for over a decade, but her story begins even earlier. Growing up, she learnt from her grandfather - a goldsmith - that jewellery was never just about the final piece, but the care, intention, and time poured into it. That early influence stayed with her, eventually leading her to formally study jewellery-making and build her own silversmithing practice.Today, Rachel and her husband teach these workshops together. Guided by their calm, attentive approach, you’ll learn essential techniques such as annealing, soldering, piercing, and finishing.All at a comfortable pace, with plenty of room to ask questions and explore. Rachel and Mei started their metalsmithing studio back in 2016 with a simple idea: to make silversmithing welcoming and personal. Both bring years of experience in jewellery design, and they love sharing the quiet magic of working with silver and gold. They keep things relaxed in the studio, making sure everyone feels comfortable, whether they’re trying it for the first time or adding finishing touches to a special piece. Their focus is on creating jewellery that tells a story - pieces made by hand, shaped by the wearer’s own memories and moments. With a warm, down-to-earth approach, Rachel and Mei make sure everyone leaves with more than just a piece of jewellery, but a little bit of their own story.
