We decided to have 2 nights in Halong Bay and were really glad we took the extra night. The boat was quite small - about 10 cabins and the cabin itself was tiny - just about room for a double bed and not much else. The shower room was functional. However we did not spend much time in the room as there was always something to do. The food was wonderful and plentiful. On the 2nd day we transfered to a day boat and had a great kayaking trip to a tiny beach through the rocks with no one else around - fabulous!

A really beautiful experience, a pristine cabin, lovely guide, and a packed schedule for active passengers but no enforced activities. Very well organised. Tinh was charming and I thoroughly recommend Rosa Cruise. (I was also very impressed with Ms Lien Nguyen at the office who sorted out my booking which changed several times. She was very helpful!)

Everything was Excellent & Splendid! We have booked this for our Honeymoon trip without payment 2 months in advance. David Khanh and Kenny have been very diligent to keep us posted on the transportation arrangement and our special needs ahead of our inaugural cruise stay. My husband and I are both light sleeper and had not been having a peaceful sleep in Old Quarters due to Traffic Culture - Honking Hell. The food onboard was good, the hospitality onboard kept us warm and the room was so spacious! David is also concerned enough to arrange our transportation back to Hanoi and I was stoked to receive a warm honeymoon souvenir from him. I am definitely recommending Doris Cruise to my friends. We booked a 3 days/2 night with Rosa cruise but they told us we have been upgraded to a new cruise, Doris Cruise. At the beginning we were a little worried because we didn’t know what to expect but for our surprise it was truly amazing. The cruise was brand new, standards really high, rooms super comfortable and very well presented. We booked the deluxe room with sea view and we got a massive room with a terrace as big, jacuzzi with sea views and a king size round bed!! We fell in love with the staff, super helpful, very attentive to detail and great people, always with a big smile. Specially need to mention Sam , one of the waiters who made every meal even more special, he is a lovely guy who became a friend for us. As well Bruce, the receptionist who had the schedule ready for us everyday , he helped us a lot with everything we needed always attentive to detail and with a big smile. Thanks guys!! I need to mention the food quality ( 5 stars!) the choice of drinks, the sunset party, and the activities with all our tour guides that were amazingly helpful and knowleadgeable!! We visit a pearl farm , a fisherman village , did a lot of kayaking, cycling in the national park... 100% recommend it, if you are planning to take a cruise in Halong bay , choose Rosa cruise company for the best quality and price.

We did the overnight cruise. The checkin process was quick and on time. The boat is clearly ‘well used’.... but this seems typical of 90% of the boats to choose from.... unless you want to pay ridiculous money then this seems to be the standard. It was clean enough and adequately appointed. Rooms are also an appropriate size, but the beds are cheap foam mattresses, and are quite hard. In regards to the meals they nailed it in this department..... a huge amount of food provided at each meal and tasted really nice. We did the Pearl Farm, which was a bit of a waste of time to be totally honest... then some kayaking, then finished off the first day with a swim in Ha Long Bay, which was the highlight. Day two we did the Caves, and this was impressive.... the caves are HUGE, and was a beautiful view. Drink prices are OK.... A little more than the mainland, but not over the top. Our guide was a nice bloke, but we had no type of “tour guide” interaction in the way of interesting info or discussion.... the only time we had any type of interaction in any way with him was the Caves on the second day, and the brief cooking class. There are literally hundreds of options for cruises in Ha Long Bay.... it’s a bit of a lottery to choose a good one, and match decent quality with a fair enough price.... and Rosa Cruise seems to hit this balance.
