Trek deep down into the Ijen crater with a former miner to see the blue light of flared sulphur and witness where one of the most basic elements of the earth is found. Come back up to the top just in time to catch a beautiful sunrise over the multi-textured crater surface.

Green Ijen is run by Johan who hosts a homestay and organizes the transportation to Ijen. His guide at the volcano is Bahri, a former miner who knows the place very well. Although he does not speak a lot of English, he is a very caring guide who will show you the hidden corners of this place as well as patiently stop for photos.
