The esteemed Leksa Ganesha Gallery is nestled within the charming Tembi area of the Bantul region, on the periphery of Yogyakarta. Set amidst picturesque rice fields, it showcases a splendid collection of contemporary batik art created by the region's most acclaimed and skillful batik artists and artisans. Leksa Ganesha Gallery, founded by Tatang Elmy Wibowo and Aprat Koeswadji, emerged three years ago to coincide with the establishment of a cooperative of artists, all of whom display their works in this gallery. Attached to Tatang's family home, the gallery is steeped in history and tradition as Tatang's father, a talented batik artist himself, used to work here until he had to prioritize the family's rice fields.

Helpful Questions

Hello, we are wanting more information around what are some of the recipes/food we will be making or can make with Farm to Table Cooking at Tembi Village. We are coming from Malaysia, so we are hoping to learn how to make real authentic Javanese foods (i.e. spicy sambal, well rounded flavoured foods) - soto, ayam kremes, sambal balado/oelek, ikan bakar etc. Love some of the combined recipes stated on the page, but it appears there are quite a lot of coconut-based or neutral base instead of spice based. Looking forward to hearing back. Thank you!

Hi! Would like to inquire on this-Farm-to-Table Cooking at Tembi Village: Catch Your Own Fish! (Yogyakarta). 1) Is the class available for 12th Nov 2 pax? 2) Understand transportation from city to village is not included. However if we need transportation services for this class, can you all provide? If yes, how much? 3) The price stated for the class $52.38 is fixed, any additional cost? 4) Is there any other market tour available? Thanks!
