I was looking to cycle through Sri Lanka but I didn’t want to join a tour or a group. Asela from cycle escape Sri Lanka came to the rescue, organising a fantastic route, booking my accommodation and transferring my luggage every day. I cycled alone but they were never too far away and were always there to guide me in any of the main sights if I wanted it. They are super friendly, very knowledgeable and they will show you the real Sri Lanka away from the main roads and the tourist areas. Thank you so much, it’s been amazing! I will be recommending you to all my friends! Also, the standard of accommodation and food was excellent, lovely friendly family homestay’s, although they have many accommodation options so can tailor the trip for you! I will hopefully be back sometime in the future! Diolch yn fawr :)

I traveled solo and decided to go on a cycling trip, and this was by far the best choice I could have made! I had enough autonomy but also was safe and taken care of at all times.
Not only did I have great guides but I gained awesome friends!
They are so kind, accommodating and efficient.
The route is perfectly tracked by them but they are also open and flexible to adjust it if you feel lil you want to do more.
They are very knowledgeable and friendly and they mix all the MUST visit sites with local immersion which is priceless!!! No better way to know a place than by learning about the local customers and people and actually spending some time with these wonderful hosts.
I 100 percent reccomend planning your trip with them! If I go back I will for sure repeat!!

We took a cycle trip with these guys back in February 2018 with in an hour of arriving in Sri Lanka we new we had made the right choice. On arrival we were greeted by Asela at the Airport who happened tobe the owner and is brother law who’s name I struggled to say whilst there so I’m not even going to try and write but he was a great guy aswell, anyway Asela on arrival took us to our first hotel to rest after a long flight the hotel was lovely over looking a big lake rooms were clean with air con and very comfortable, the views were amazing it really got us excited about what was ahead in Sri Lanka .
Asella returned to the hotel later that evening after we had a nap and shower, that’s when our tour began,he told what we were doing over the next week sorted the bikes and generally got us prepared to start cycling the next morning .
Well what can I say Sri Lanka is one or if not the best country’s I have visited, and Asela made sure we didn’t miss a thing, sri Lanka and it’s people are fantastic the food is amazing the roads are good not that we had to cycle on many of them as Asela always made sure we were cycling on the safest roads available the bikes were good the breaks and gears worked (unlike our bikes in Burma the previous year that’s another story)the frame sizes were as we requested so everything was set and off we went all I can say is Asella made sure we didn’t miss a thing and on some occasions he had arranged a guide to meet us at the ruin or attraction to make sure we got the full story and facts.its up to you how far you want to cycle , he plans between 40 and 70 km a day you can do more or less it’s up to you, the support vehicle is never far away with snacks and drinks and if you want a breather you can throw your bike on and rest up for an hour if required,I’m not going to bore anyone with all the things we done and seen as I’d be here all day,but we probaly rode in every situation you could in a warm climate country, Jungle, elephants, history and ancient sites, crocodiles, tea plantations, villages towns, beaches and really met the Sri Lankan people who are so friendly and welcoming,Asela and is team are brilliant nothing to much trouble hotels were all carefully chosen and very comfortable, communication before the trip was great alway replied with in 24 hours I can’t recomend these guys enough if you want the full Lankan experience you couldn’t choose any better.im even planning a return trip with my family and a few friends just so they can enjoy and experience what Asela and his team have to offer, forgot to say I’m 58 overweight and class my self as a trundler on a bike so if your the same and want to see the real Sri Lanka in a laid back relaxing way these guys are for you , on the other hand they also cater for the quicker type of cycling and licra brigade people
Will post more pics later
