I highly recommend spending at least 3 days exploring West Sumba .
I would especially like to recommend our driver and guide, Itto. He was not only our driver but also an excellent guide and local companion. He knows the island very well, shared his personal experience, and discussed many interesting facts about local life and Murapi culture with us.
Itto speaks excellent English and is an honest, kind, and open-minded young man. He helped us with any questions we had and showed us all the most interesting places in Sumba.
I recommend Itto 100% and Seek Sophie agency to everyone!

Onze driver Jony sprak redelijk Engels. Hij gaf een vriendelijke en veilige indruk.
Hij rijd goed en voorzichtig en kent de weg in Sumba uit zijn hoofd.
We hebben vantevoren doorgestuurd wat we graag wilden zien in Sumba, waarna er een itinerary van is gemaakt door hun. Super fijn!

From our cruise. we had one day in Waingapu. We chose Sumba Adventure Tours for our private tour on the island. The driver and host picked us up on time. The host was sweet and attentive. As we are culture-oriented travelers, they gladly took us to a neighborhood with a craft shop and a local museum. The host showed us around Waingapu and the surrounding area. It was fascinating to observe life on the island, and the private tour helped us make the most of our brief visit to the Island.

Sumba is an exceptional place and relatively untouched by mass tourism- drive Jony and guide Deny looked well after me for 5 days whilst we explored Sumba from East to West.
Jony was an excellent driver and Deny in a flexible way would decide on our destinations ranging from waterfalls to Ikat weaving in the marapu villages
