Onze driver Jony sprak redelijk Engels. Hij gaf een vriendelijke en veilige indruk.
Hij rijd goed en voorzichtig en kent de weg in Sumba uit zijn hoofd.
We hebben vantevoren doorgestuurd wat we graag wilden zien in Sumba, waarna er een itinerary van is gemaakt door hun. Super fijn!

From our cruise. we had one day in Waingapu. We chose Sumba Adventure Tours for our private tour on the island. The driver and host picked us up on time. The host was sweet and attentive. As we are culture-oriented travelers, they gladly took us to a neighborhood with a craft shop and a local museum. The host showed us around Waingapu and the surrounding area. It was fascinating to observe life on the island, and the private tour helped us make the most of our brief visit to the Island.

Sumba is an exceptional place and relatively untouched by mass tourism- drive Jony and guide Deny looked well after me for 5 days whilst we explored Sumba from East to West.
Jony was an excellent driver and Deny in a flexible way would decide on our destinations ranging from waterfalls to Ikat weaving in the marapu villages

Sumba Island tours was quick to respond and help organise what I'd like to see. They let me know that my driver didn't speak much English, but Johny was great! We listened to music while driving which was nice and he even let me share some of my music with him and he played some local music for me. I am a bit shy so I didn't mind not talking the entire time. The places we stopped were amazing, even in the wet season! The tour included a stop at a local resto for food and eating by the beach.

We had Ino as our tour in Sumba and it was a fantastic experience! We spent 4 days visiting the entire island with him and learnt so much about the Sumbanese culture. He accommodated all of our requests and informed us at all times about the itinerary we were following. Also, we was very clear about possible weather conditions and ensured we were safe and modified the schedule if needed.
We 100% recommend booking this tour!

I booked a second trip to be driven from East Sumba to the west. Dany was again amazing! We stopped for local coffee and went to a village. He shared many insightful facts about Sumba and told me to stop whenever I wanted to take photos.
