I had a very nice time painting and learning about Batik. Hanung was a swift and patient teacher!

This was soooooo fun!!! I can't recommend the experience highly enough! The teachers were so friendly and helpful and proficient and you go home with your own piece of art to remind you of lovely Jogyakarta. They also video you in the process. And don't miss out on the hand pressed espresso in the cafe and the exquisite batiks in the gallery! A very special co-op!!!

It was an amazing experience at the centre that helped me learn about batik making and more importantly to learn Indonesian's philosophy about life through this art form.
I strongly recommend this trip to anyone who wants to have an in-depth experience of batik making as you get to make your special piece of batik under the skillful guidance of the batik masters at the centre.

We really loved the workshop!! The people running the place were really friendly and the entire process was taught to us — from drawing to colouring! We had so much fun and would highly recommend this place!

Hanung and all the people working there were very kind . The explanations were simple and clear and the best way tu understand is to practice ! I had time for this. Dont skip the step where you can draw all little details, it's the best ! And after that the colouring process is awsome. A greatfull experience. And when you leave Hanung, he send you a nice little vídeo to keep in memory this enjoyable class !!

Amazing workshop if you want to learn how to make batik!! Such a nice experience. You will be there a lot longer than the website says though, our paintings took 4,5 hours.

Very relaxed environment to freely enjoy the creative process of batik making. Staff are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

It is not as easy as it looks so I will look at batik through more appreciative eyes now. The guys there were very encouraging and demonstrated the process clearly. It was a wonderful experience and an opportunity for some mindfulness as I became quite engrossed in the event. Situated in a lovely little village it was a very authentic experience and a happy fun environment. Thanks for a wonderful day guys.
