One of our fave spots in Bali, Munduk is still feels pretty remote and undiscovered. Here you'll find one of the most sacred temples in Bali, a gorgeous lake, ancient jungles with towering trees and untouched waterfalls. North Bali is also a lot cooler (22-24 degrees) because it’s higher up, so it's the perfect climate for outdoors adventures!

It's a dream for outdoor lovers! Hike to waterfalls (like Banyumala), canoe on Tamblingan Lake, or even camp lakeside. For a spiritual touch, visit the Ulun Danu Bratan Temple.

Visit Munduk April-June for low season + the best weather. Avoid Dec-Mar (rainy season) as it's not fun to trek & go to waterfalls when it's muddy and cold!

Anyone who loves nature, and off-grid experiences would love it. If you're doing the hiking/canoeing here, note that the hiking is not difficult and is even suitable for kids

Skip crowded Banyumala Waterfall and opt for Bunyuwana Waterfall instead. Wear shoes with good grip for waterfall visits, and long pants are a must on hikes to avoid leeches.
