What to do or see here

There's quite a lot to see on a day trip around Labuan Bajo, depending on your interest. You can swim in the crystal clear waters of Rangko cave, you can duck crawl through the mysterious Batu Cermin cave, see gorgeous sunsets at Sylvia Hill or even get to know the local tribal traditions at Melo Village.

Best Time to Go

Most of the experiences around Labuan Bajo take place outdoors, so you should go during dry season from April to early December.

Who is it for?
  • Anyone who's looking for a fun day trip around Labuan Bajo! Even though Komodo National Park is getting increasingly crowded, these areas around Labuan Bajo are relatively untouristed and worth a visit!
  • If you have young kids or for the elderly with you, you may want to skip the caves because they are quite dark, and rocks are slippery.
