We made a tour of one day with Arif and was an incredible day! Very helpful, very honest, he help us with everything, explained all the story and was very kind with my children and my.
The food of the boat was very very tasty! Positive point for the cooker!!

Had a really nice day exploring Pangkalanbun and Kumai.
The visit to Istana Mangkubumi was super special because the host also my guide, Monica shared real family stories that made the place come alive. Istana Kuning was interesting too, even though the staff weren’t really around when I visited.
What made the day even better was Monica, my guide. She was friendly, easy to talk to, and shared so many real stories about the local culture, myths, and daily life. It didn’t feel scripted at all, just real and honest.
The canoe ride along the Arut River was peaceful and a really cool way to see how people live along the water.
I was actually not feeling very fit, but Monica's stories make me feel awake and energise!
Overall it’s a simple, genuine experience. Nothing fancy, but thanks to Monica, it felt personal and really memorable.
