An eye-opening, well organised experience. The tireless work of the staff at Seven Clean Seas is admirable, and the experience has stayed with me for days after. An eye-opening, well organised experience. The tireless work of the staff at Seven Clean Seas is admirable, and the experience has stayed with me for days after. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to learn more about plastic waste and recycling, and/or sustainability and advocacy in general. 

We had such an eye-opening day in Batam with the SCS team. From the beach clean-up, to the village tour, and then getting hands-on at the MRF, I was shocked at how much manual labour and community effort it takes to tackle the plastic pollution problem. Really made me reflect on my own consumption habits as well. Thank you for hosting us so well!

The entire experience was very hands on!
 All participants must be prepared to get down dirty sweaty smelly &amp; physical exhaustion to fully experience and understand what caring for the environment entails!

Was an eye opening experience. Just a quick boat ride away you can see a completely different world when it comes to managing waste. While in Singapore, we don't have to worry about where our trash goes, in Batam, you have to rely on private efforts. The efforts that Seven Clean Seas puts into help improve the livelihoods for their communities (both by creating cleaner environments as well as providing meaningful, well paying jobs) are really commendable. This is a great effort to support. Would recommend for anyone who is interested in better understanding how to tackle the plastics problem, how to work with communities or just do something good for the day.

Overall is a great experience, we enjoyed the activity and also the breeze! The guide is well-prepared, and the environmental care knowledge is effectively conveyed.

Team Beach Cleanup with Marine Experts

We did a corporate team activity and went to clean the beach. The organisers were great and had all the equipment. We started with a simple briefing and off we went to clean. We had about 30kg of trash after 40mins. After that we had a very nice talk and sharing about the intertidal zones and the critters that lived there. We learned many new things about the animals that live around the beach area.
