Pulau Ubin is our favourite quick nature getaway from Singapore. Lost in time, it feels like Singapore from sixty years ago. We love the kampong spirit here, that there are still artefacts from generations ago like opera performance stages, and most of all, the lush nature. We even love the bumboat ride over - it feels like an adventure!

Hike, kayak, bike, or spot wildlife here! Explore Chek Jawa wetlands, take in views at Puaka Hill, kayak in mangroves or nearby islands. Reward yourself with fresh seafood after!

Pulau Ubin is best April-November for dry weather. Other times, bring a poncho to be safe (though rain doesn't last for long)! Go in the morning so you won't get scorched!

Ubin offers a quick escape for nature lovers, with easy trails for all ages. For curious explorers, it offers a glimpse into Singapore's simpler past as a fishing village.

To get there: bumboats are frequent, just show up at Changi Point! Bring cash (bumboats & restaurants are cash-only). If bringing your dog, keep them in a carrier for the bumboat.
