The experience was very great. The ride we booked was 2h which ended up in 5 hours with pickup and preparation. We have been picked up in Ubud by a private driver which was perfectly in time.
 We asked for individual pickup time, which was no issue for them.

At toekat base, they equipped us with a helmet and a lifevest. Their base is in an area where many rafting companies have their base.

They have toilets, showers, lockers, free towels and bags for wet clothes on site

We payed in cash but you can also pay by card.
 After being equipped, they drove us in a small group together to the start point. They do not plan the groups upfront but wait for 6 people to fill a boot. No waiting here.
 The drive was just 10mins. From the drop off point you have to walk hunderts of stairs down to the river.
 At the river boots are already waiting.
 Our guide spoke decent English and gave a short but sufficient safety instruction.

We started the ride with many boats of different companies been starting around the same starting points. All have their own bays.
 The river was full of boats but not overcrowded. In fact we did some race between the boats which was great fun.

The ride was 2h incl a short 15min break, where you can get a bottle of beer or water (no toilet)

The ride ended right at the base but counted 350 stairs below at the river.

Finally you can have a shower, get your stuff out of a locker and grab some included buffet lunch.

All in all a very nice experience. We always felt safe but we also noticed that especially the stairs are some kind of workout that requires some fitness.

We equipted by full safety equipment &amp; there’s a briefing before the activity as well. Just prepare for the hundreds upstair to go down &amp; up to the river.

 - Coach should have camera so that we can have complete trip captured.

He was excellent at negotiating the raging river.
He steered the raft and saved myself, my husband and the two other occupants a few times when it became hairy!

We were a little worried about white water&nbsp;rafting&nbsp;with a small 9 year old and a 12 year old. However, as soon as I arrived at Toekad&nbsp;Rafting&nbsp;I could see it was a really well run establishment, with friendly staff and lots of professionalism. We got kitted up and transferred to the River Ayung very quickly. A fantastic walk across paddy fields, and then down steps to get to the base of the gorge left us in awe of this amazing place! Our fantastic guide, Ari, then gave us a safety briefing and instructions on what to do during the experience. Our son was very nervous initially but soon relaxed because it was clear that Ari would not get us into danger, yet we would still have the thrill of going down the rapids. And there were plenty!! We were able to get out and swim for a bit, and made a short pit stop under a waterfall where we were able to get cameras out of the waterproofed bag and take loads of amazing pictures. The scenery was magnificent!! We were in the heart of rainforest, with amazing carvings on the stone walls either side of the river and we just couldn't get enough of it! I wish I'd had my Go Pro as the scenery was just breathtaking! We stopped halfway for a beer - not the kids, obvs, but if you didn't have money they just put it on a tab for you, so you could pay at the end. At the end of the trip, you have to walk back up to the top. It's quite a way, with lots of steps, but we managed it without too much difficulty, and felt shamed at being breathless when we saw the employees carrying boats, lifejackets and helmets on their heads, up the 380 steps to the top!! If you're fit enough to do the&nbsp;rafting, you're fit enough to climb the steps at the end! Once back at the base, we were able to shower and change, before being given a delicious Indonesian buffet with some unbelievably hot sambal sauce!! The sambal sauce is optional, thankfully for the kids!! Photos are taken en route, and we were able to purchase an entire disc of about 90 prints for 250,000 Rp (about £15) and they also print one of the photos out for you free of charge. You could also buy two prints for 150,000 Rp, or a USB drive for 350,000. The photos are excellent quality. We tried to find Ari afterwards to give him a tip, but he had already gone - buy him a beer at the halfway point like we did, he's worth it! Trip Advisor asks us whether there is recommended dress code - Toeked will tell you this, but you need to wear swimwear and suitable shoes (not flip flops - kids had swim shoes on, we had converse - they get soaked, as does the rest of you!). We wore shorts and t-shirts over the top, and took a change of clothing with us, which was safely stowed away in the lockers while we were rafting.
 Massive plus for us - we booked on line and they corresponded with us immediately via WhatsApp, and turned up on time to collect us from our hotel and take us directly to the Base. Big relief when you pay in advance. They were really organised, highly professional and genuinely lovely people. Book it!!

But be ready, because in the end of the trip, you'll have to hike countless stairs that will make you very tired. But don't worry, when you arrived up there, they have prepared various lunch that comes with the ticket. Don't miss this activity when you visit Bali!

A must visit.. very good hospitality! A good 1.5hrs of&nbsp;rafting. Lunch buffet serves only Non veg, but the restaurant manager was very kind to make us some Veg rice and noodles.

We've been in Ubud Bali recently and the experience of&nbsp;rafting&nbsp;was amazing! Our coach Alex was very good and he was instructing us all the time! It was a trip through the river that everyone who plans to visit Ubud should do! Also the food they offered us after the trip was relly nice! We loved it!

We saw a brochure for&nbsp;rafting&nbsp;at our hotel in Ubud and someone at the front desk recommended this&nbsp;rafting&nbsp;company so we went on their recommendation...and very glad that we did! We were picked up in the morning and taken down the road to their main location where we paid for&nbsp;rafting&nbsp;adventure, locked up our belongings, and were given the required equipment. We were then driven to the location where we would get down to the river. Which was quite a walk - felt like we walked down nearly a 1000 winding steps! But it was well worth it as it was beautiful walking through the forest down to the river. Our&nbsp;rafting&nbsp;guide was fun, engaging, and entertaining and made our&nbsp;rafting&nbsp;adventure extra enjoyable! Just be prepared to walk UP 1000 steps at the end of the adventure. Overall would highly recommend if you're interested in going&nbsp;rafting!

We had a blast&nbsp;rafting&nbsp;with the Toekad Team. We stayed just outside Ubud, and the Toekad team picked us up close to our villa. Transport back and forth and lunch was included, so overall, highly recommended!! Best regards to our guide Joe who was great!

It was fantastic! I went with my girlfriend, we booked the activity on getyourguide.com, A guy came for us with a car. The car was comfortable with AC. This was the best rafting experience ever!
