Review Body: We were a family of 6 wanting to try out surfing. We researched the myriad surf schools and found Windy Sun with the help of our driver! As we did not have time we only did the one day 1 to 4 session. We were immediately made aware of their safety ethos when we were told they had cancelled that days lessons due to strong waves for beginners and that we should be prepared for that the next day as well. It was comforting to know they valued that over earning an extra buck even if they lost our business. The package given was quite reasonable for something like 40$ we had the board rentals, rashguards, photos, even sun cream, of course the hands on instruction with a ratio of one teacher to three students. The instructors got us on the board quickly but they said that true mastery would require more time and more supervision thats why they said if we really wanted to learn and master the sport, to take at least the three day preferably the 10 day course so we could learn to read waves etc. Over all highly recommended.

Review Body: My Girlfriend and i stayed in Canggu for a week and we wanted to go for beginner lessons especially for her, she never stood on a board before. So we went to the best spot for beginners and that is definitively Kuta Beach. She got supplied with everything she needed from rashguard to sunscreen, board, towel, shower etc. The Surfschool is a 2 min walk to the beach and right on spot. She got a private lesson with a Surfinstructor who teached her first in thoery the essentiel knowledge she needed, followed by dry exercieces on the beach and practice in the water. Overall she was a bit scared by the green-waves and even by the whitewash, but with the calm and professinalism of the Instructor, she forgot about that pretty quick and stand her first few waves! It was a wonderful experience for her and made this vacation even more special. Great praise to the outstanding job and guidance that Greg performed . Would highly recommend this Guy!

Review Body: I took 3days courses including accomodation in this October by myself. As the owner was Russian, most customers were Russian too. But he spoke almost perfect English I had no difficulties to communicate with him. The room was really clean and good location ( in Changgu) and spacious. Actually it was enough for a couple. The trainer was gentle and professional. Because I was injured on my toes I only took first day class. I was really hopeless at surfing, I believe, he supported me a lot until I could stand up. (His name is Luis) Bali is known as a good surfing spot for beginners but it was harder than I expected. That's why I took a time to get used to. Anyway, everything was so perfect to experience. I'm willing to go here again if I go to Bali. Strongly recommend!

Review Body: To choose Windy Sun Surf School was my best decision! Good location near Kuta beach. Very friendly, supportive, helpful and attentive instructors. Guys, I highly appreciate your work! You will learn theory as well as practice and of course safety instructions. School provides you with all stuff needed: board, special clothes, towels, lockers while you have a lesson so you do not need to keep this in mind or to buy. One more cool option is a car to and from the lesson. It is great that school provides with additional insurance for surfing. And when you will take lessons in school you definitely should visit at least one surf trip!

Review Body: Very nice and professional staff, equipment in good condition, nice local and amazing services! We were learning surf for a week at Windy sun surf school and reached an intermediate level, surfing on the green wave! Always framed by the instructors who were all listening to you and making sure you were understanding, professional but very friendly as well. It was really pleasant to be able to check the pictures of the lesson after it, to see wit your own eyes the mistakes you were doing and to have the comments of the teacher. You should definitely pass by this school, they will welcome you very warmly!!

Review Body: I came across this surf school whilst walking around Kuta. I booked the lesson as I'd seen they have insurance, equipment and seemed to run a professional business. From the moment i went in to the moment i left it was very professional. The instructor was patient and explained everything clearly. Within 40 minutes i was in the water and able to stand on the board. It was such an achievement. At times I kept messing up the stands after the paddle but the instructor was extremely patient and just kept setting me up to go again. I loved this place and will go back to have another lesson soon.

Review Body: Surf lessons were great! A lot of theory at the beginning to understand the waves, the take off, current...very small groups. I was lucky and got almost every time a 1:1 lesson. You get pictures every time and not just the good looking ones but a proper analysis what was good and what was bad. Location: school is located very close to the beach. Great Surfspot for beginners (beachbreaks). I did not like Kuta so much and travelled around a bit, and they picked me up from so many different locations. Top! Great quality for the price!

Review Body: Great place, great stay, great coach and great waves ! For the surf camp,you got everything you need. They even got a small swimming pool, PS4 and some board games to relax. It is a really chill place. If you stay in the camp, you will be able to have a surfing lesson. Our coach, Helbi, was great. I am sure you can learn how to surf in a day even you have never tried it before. You will also have a review of your lesson by looking at the photos of your surfing posture, so that you will improve much more faster.

Review Body: Really happy to have found this surf school through my friends in Bali - Sergey, the owner, had taken away all our headache with organising, pre-payment, transfers etc. The instructors were available on the exact days we wanted and change of plans and weather were well accommodated. Instructors both Russian and Indonesian were very helpful. Best part - in 4 lessons you actually reach the line-up, as opposed to schools that make you practice on foam until all your budget is gone.

Review Body: I took a two hour surfing class. I had only surfed once before but never really learned the basics. My instructor took the time to explain the theory first before we jumped into the water to practice. At the end, I was able to stand on the board without falling (keep in mind I am a highly trained athlete, so I was quick to catch on). On top of the lesson, they provide you towels, lockers, shorts and t-shirt to wear in the sea and picture with feedback at the end of the lesson.

They will tell you what are your mistakes and will let you know new stuffs, things that will not be taught by typical instructors that you will find along the beach. Review Body: One of the best surf school in Kuta. Of you are a complete beginner or beginner/intermediate, Windy Sun will definitely help you to improve your surf skills. My Instructor (Ketut) always motivate and correct my technique during the surf lesson and after the lesson (during photo review). The crew and school facilities are one of the top in Bali.

Review Body: Fantastic location of the surf school just right across Kuta beach; the camp, within short walking distance, is nice & comfy. Breakfast is great. The school is well organized & equipped. Photos are taken for post analysis & review. Depending on daily tide conditions, the school advises on whether it's suitable to surf etc.

Review Body: Did a 5.30 am surf were the Windy Sun crew picked you up at the hotel, and drove off to a sweet spot for surfing. I came alone, with not much previous surfing experience but the instructor took good care and helped me improve. After the surfing, we went back and analysed the video footage to look for furter improvements.

Itinerary Description: Starting times of surf lessons may vary between 5.30am until 4pm - depending on tides and waves conditions. Time per lesson is about 2.5 hours or about 4 hours if travelling to particular surf sports are necessary. There will be a break of about 15 to 20 minutes during the lesson. The time in the water will be around 2 hours.
