Boat Cruise in Cat Ba

08:00: Check in.
08:15: Leave the office by Van, drive to the harbor and board the traditional junk boat.
08:30: The adventure begins! Cruise out to the first kayaking destination.
09:15: Begin your guided tour exploring the floating homes and visiting lagoons.
12:00: Head back to the junk boat for a traditional Vietnamese family-style lunch prepared by the boat crew.
13:00: Cruising north to the afternoon kayaking destination.
13:45: Continue your guided tour around the bay, to see more stunning karsts, hidden lagoons and beaches.
16:00: Board the junk boat again for the final cruise home.

Cat Ba - Lan Ha Bay

Cast off into Lan Ha Bay: the less traveled, but still astoundingly beautiful southern portion of Ha Long Bay. You’ll cruise on the traditional Vietnamese junk boat through a maze of karst towers before boarding the kayaks. Your kayak guide will lead you to peaceful lagoons, where you can cool off, have a swim, and enjoy nature to its fullest. Explore beaches and navigate through villages of floating homes before returning to the junk boat for a remarkable lunch, cooked in traditional Vietnamese style by our local boat crew. Great veggie options are also available, just let us know in advance!

They are both very enthusiastic, patient in guiding and explaining the steps and procedures throughout the whole time. Will highly recommend them to anyone wanting to experience outdoor rock climbing in Cat Ba

Had an amazing and eye opener experience during my first ever rock outdoor climbing with Tuan and Huom. They are both very enthusiastic, patient in guiding and explaining the steps and procedures throughout the whole time. What an amazing experience. The area we climbed in was gorgeous. The hosts were very kind and patient. I learned a lot about climbing from them. The climbs were interesting and fun. And they could really accommodate well to whatever level you're at. I would definitely recommend this experience.

What an amazing experience. The area we climbed in was gorgeous. The hosts were very kind and patient. I learned a lot about climbing from them. The climbs were interesting and fun. And they could really accommodate well to whatever level you're at. I would definitely recommend this experience.

Had a very enjoyable day out on the bay. We went rock climbing on Tiger Beach. Our guides - Alexis and partner, were super encouraging, and made the whole experience super beginner friendly. Lunch on the floating villages was delightful. Did a fair bit of kayaking as well. Highly recommend them if you’re looking to fully immerse in the many offerings of the bay - and in the company of some of the most enthusiastic guides too.

Lunch on the floating villages was delightful. Did a fair bit of kayaking as well. The highlight of our trip to Ha Long area/Kat Ba area. Very well organised tour, the 2 guides Alex and Alexis were very nice, patient with us and made us feel very safe (given that it was our first outdoor climbing experience). 
 We had a nice lunch at a floating restaurant, and got to enjoy the Ha Long Bay views from the boat. 
 Personnel from the agency were very helpful and helped us book a private speed boat to the island and back (we stayed in Ha Long City).

Great Kayak 1D tour
 We went for kayaking +2h in the morning plus kayaking again after lunch through the bay and it was amazing. Our guide Ben took us to very beautiful spots and gave great explanations. Finally a tour with a guide that speaks English! (He was from England) There were also other european guides.

 We did a full day kayak tour of Lan Ha Bay. It was amazing, perfect weather, beautiful scenery, had a great time paddling around the bay. It was not crowded, we were in a small group of four. We went through a cave into a lagoon, we were the only ones there and were able to swim around the lagoon, it was very peaceful. We were able to watch the hawks circling and swooping to catch fish. And we also saw some monkeys jumping around from tree to tree. We found LangurÕs an extremely professional and organised tour company, the staff are friendly, genuine and experienced. Our guide, Sam, was wonderful and took good care of us. The next day we did a Deep Water Solo tour which was also lots of fun. Highly recommend this for anyone who enjoys climbing or just loves a bit of adventure. The whole experience was amazing, I highly recommend LangurÕs Adventures.

We neednÕt have worried - we booked a full day kayaking and it was one of the highlights of our trip in Vietnam. Our guides Ben and Bao were very knowledgeable and made us feel very safe throughout - especially as it was my first time kayaking. We saw some amazing lagoons, gorgeous scenery and had a delicious lunch on board. Wholeheartedly recommend booking with them. 

The only negative is that we also booked an overnight boat trip with them, which was outsourced to a company called Cat Ba Local, which was not as good for two girls travelling on their own, as we felt slightly uncomfortable/unsafe. If you decide to book this kind of tour, make sure to ask who will be operating it in advance.
