Review Body: SUP and Kayak day trip Review of: Kayaking My husband, myself and our 12 year old daughter did a one day trip (SUP in the morning with Luke and kayaking in the afternoon with Yosh) and tour around a couple of bays on board a traditional junk boat. A Vietnamese style lunch was provided on board which was absolutely delicious, plentiful and varied. We booked the tour the evening prior and they were able to accommodate us no problem. The day rolled out exactly as it was described to us when we booked. The staff is a mix of Vietnamese and Westerners (all English speakers) and were enthusiastic and professional. It is clear that they enjoy what they do and have fun. We felt that they put us first by making sure we were comfortable with the activities we did and checking in with us periodically to let us know what to expect next. We were really impressed from start to finish with the people organizing and running the activities. We had several opportunities to swim and take little breaks throughout the day in between our main activities. We spent time in areas that had just a few other boats and tours and our guides made the effort to try to take us to the little bays and beaches on our own so we could really drink in the beauty and have the feeling that it was just for us. The area and views were absolutely breathtaking and much more pristine once we got a little bit further away from Catba island. Langures Adventures has many different tours. We wanted a more active day and were able to customize our activities to suit our abilities. We felt really lucky because there was only one other group on our boat of three people so it kind of felt like a private tour and that was perfect for our family. We would not hesitate to recommend this tour company to friends and would certainly use them again if we chose to do more tours in the area. Highly recommend! On another note, we were saddened by the amount of trash and pollution in the water. This has absolutely nothing to do with any of the tour groups and, in speaking with Luke about this in the morning, he told me that he sometimes comes and picks up garbage. In fact, he even did so on our tour around the bay. We weren't expecting to see so much pollution so it was a bit of a shock for us and we were not too keen to swim in the morning because of it. The area that we kayaked around in the afternoon was completely different and we were in the water swimming quite a bit. Just something to consider and prepare yourself for when booking any tour into this area.

Review Body: A perfect two day trip Review of: Kayaking We (family) did a full day kayaking, slept under the stars out in the bay, and then half of us did the Deep Water Solo and half observed. The kayaking was brilliant. We explored the local floating villages - even getting the chance to go into one floating home - in the morning and kayaked to lagoons and sandy beaches in the afternoon. The scenes were beautiful and we barely bumped into another group. It gave us a real insight into life around Cat Ba and was great fun. Lunch was tasty and varied with plenty to try and to eat. Sleeping under the stars out in Lan Ha Bay was magical. We got to swim with luminescent plankton in the dark which was incredible and then had a relaxing evening before settling down under the stars with a gentle breeze to keep us cool. Again, the food was delicious. Deep water soloing was exciting for those of us who did it and observing was good fun (definitely not boring). The atmosphere was very encouraging (but not pushy) and everyone got a chance to do something which was at their level (although everyone had climbed before - it would probably be too challenging for those who have not climbed before). Throughout the two days, everything felt very safe. The guides ensured that everything was explained and clear and that everyone was safe. The guides were fantastic and made the trip as enjoyable and magical as it was. Jacob and Daisy were both friendly, helpful, enthusiastic, and provided interesting information about the places we kayaked around. A perfect two day trip!

Review Body: Kayak day-trip We searched for a company that doesnÕt focus on having the nuggets groups and we found it in LangurÕs Adventures! Our main goal was to visit Lan Ha Bay and get away from the massive groups of tourists on the big boats that in our opinion ruin the beauty of this area. Sure, we are tourists too, but we try to keep our ecological footprints as small as possible. We booked a full day of kayakking (for about $25,- each, wich is really cheap considering what you get in return) and hopped on the 8.15 a.m. taxi-van to the boat and then to the kayaks. During the day we explored the beautiful karst formations, floating houses, hidden lagoons and quiet beaches in the Lan Ha Bay area on good quality sea-kayaks. You donÕt have to be a pro kayakker to keep-up, but it may come in handy if you enjoy breaking a sweat. We swam, relaxed and enjoyed lunch with the group. The groups are relatively small, max 14 customers, and the guides are young and full of energy. We returned in Cat Ba town around 5 p.m. and received a 10% discount on our bus to our next destination (or any other activity they offer). Tip for the company: hire a photographer to document the activities and sell the pictures to your customers. We would probably buy them :)

Review Body: Best experience ever We went on the 1 day tour of Cat Ba Island around the lagoons and the Hˆ Long Bay limestone mountains. It was beautiful. The bus picked us up at our hotel and King Cong gave us a very warm welcome. We got on the boat at the local ferry port and were taken on a beautiful boat tour around the lagoons and mountains. Cong was as amazing tour guide, giving us so much information and advice about the bay area. After a scenic and beautiful journey through the mountains we reached our kayaking destination. The kayaks were super safe and cong gave us some really good advice and instructions. First time kayaking and omg I loved it!!! It was amazing. The experience was really safe and so tranquil, everyone stayed together and cong guided us effortlessly through the mountains and caves, it was beautiful. After that we had an amazing lunch which was just what we needed, lots of veggie and meat options and it was all so tasty. Then we went and had free activities and just swam around and kayaked at our own leisure, which was perfect. Couldn't have asked for a better day. Would definitely recommend kind cong and the signature travels.

Review Body: Amazing experiences and delicious chicken On my first day I went on a full day kayaking tour with Sam and Esther. They were wonderfull tour guides and the whole experience was amazing. The lunch was great and had a good variety of choices, even tho I missed out on the chicken. Luckily, I went deep water soloing the 2nd day with Ed and Sam and during lunch Esther joined to hook me up with some chicken. The deep water solo experience was one of the best things I have done in my life. At first it was a bit scary but Sam and Ed gave good safety instructions. Also, Sam made some great videos and photos of me climbing and even remembered my name after two days. During the two days I had a wonderful experience with all my tour guides (Ed, Esther and Sam). For everyone seeking adventure in Cat Ba, I highly recommend this company. They even helped me out planning my stay in Cat Ba and gave mr advise for my next destinations. I cant wait to go back to Cat Ba for some more deep water soloing (and hopefully lead climbing)

Review Body: Great day kayaking at the right pace with lovely guides Review of: Kayaking We had an amazing day kayaking with Sam and Esther. It's nice to be with approachable guides who love what they do and want to make sure everyone has fun. The trip was paced well for beginners but also not too slow for those who wanted to see lots of the bay. Everything was organised well and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this trip to anyone, which was also very well priced. The afternoon was much shorter and slower than the morning so if you are thinking of doing a half day - definitely make the most of the morning which was much better. The only thing we could highlight for improvement was that our dietary requirements we filled out in the form online weren't passed on to the team on the day. Not a major issue as they helped us out there and then but I imagine this may be a problem for those with serious allergies in future, but this didn't affect the day

Review Body: Amazing tour company! My friends and I booked a full day kayaking tour with LangurÕs Adventures and it was absolutely one of the highlights of our trip so far. We spent the whole day out on the water, exploring secret lagoons and swimming in the beautiful water. It was exactly what we were looking for! The lunch provided was fantastic with great vegetarian options and the guides were all really friendly and welcoming. Our guide, Esther, was particularly fantastic - answering any questions we had and telling us all about the floating villages that we passed. She let us go at our own pace and gave us lots of options for where we wanted to kayak, making it feel like we were in control of the day. Thanks Esther! We met some lovely people during the tour which was encouraged by the relaxed and fun setting of the boat.u Such a great tour company with wonderful staff so I definitely urge you to book onto a trip with them!!

Review Body: Amazing Kayak and DWS Experience We did a full day kayak tour of Lan Ha Bay. It was amazing, perfect weather, beautiful scenery, had a great time paddling around the bay. It was not crowded, we were in a small group of four. We went through a cave into a lagoon, we were the only ones there and were able to swim around the lagoon, it was very peaceful. We were able to watch the hawks circling and swooping to catch fish. And we also saw some monkeys jumping around from tree to tree. We found LangurÕs an extremely professional and organised tour company, the staff are friendly, genuine and experienced. Our guide, Sam, was wonderful and took good care of us. The next day we did a Deep Water Solo tour which was also lots of fun. Highly recommend this for anyone who enjoys climbing or just loves a bit of adventure. The whole experience was amazing, I highly recommend LangurÕs Adventures.

Review Body: We were recommended by a friend to book a tour with Asia Outdoor in Cat Ba, so we were a little hesitant when we found out the company had closed down and become Langurs Adventures. We neednÕt have worried - we booked a full day kayaking and it was one of the highlights of our trip in Vietnam. Our guides Ben and Bao were very knowledgeable and made us feel very safe throughout - especially as it was my first time kayaking. We saw some amazing lagoons, gorgeous scenery and had a delicious lunch on board. Wholeheartedly recommend booking with them. The only negative is that we also booked an overnight boat trip with them, which was outsourced to a company called Cat Ba Local, which was not as good for two girls travelling on their own, as we felt slightly uncomfortable/unsafe. If you decide to book this kind of tour, make sure to ask who will be operating it in advance.

Review Body: Best boat trip in Cat ba Review of: Kayaking Me and my partner went in to langur's adventures and a lady called Thˆnh helped us with which boat trip to book, she was so lovley and helpful! The boat trip its self was such a good day, our tour guide Daisy was so lovley and professional and she made the day amazing!! The food on the boat that we had for lunch was delicious and all homemade by the boat staff. When we was kayaking it was literally just us from our boat in the water, on the day we went there was 13 of us and normally they only have 14 people at a time which is so much better than loads of people!! Daisy was a brilliant tour guide and Thˆnh was so helpful with booking boat and bus tickets!! We would definitely book things again through Langur's adventures. Review Body: Kayak tour with Bee Review of: Kayaking Even though this is technically a new tour company, most of the tour guides are very experienced as it split off from a larger tour company based out of Hanoi. We sort of stumbled upon them because it was one of the only companies we could find that offered the type of tour we wanted. The staff is very friendly and the guides speak fluent English and are very attentive. We only had time enough to do a half day kayaking tour in the bay, but it was well worth it! Our guide ÔBeeÕ was very informative and taught us some things about the floating villages as well as the bayÕs ecosystem. HeÕs the coolest habitatal quantum physicist weÕve ever met Definitely will book through these guys again if we are ever back in Cat Ba!

Review Body: Brilliant Kayaking experience Review of: Kayaking Initially the staff were very welcoming, and helped us to arrange a half day of kayaking as we had limited time in the area. The office worker (Spanish man, donÕt know name) even offered help with any questions we had about the area afterwards. The kayaking experience itself was brilliant from start to finish, transfers were comfortable and efficient. The guide Jacob was very knowledgeable and approachable, and there was only 6 of us within the group (so much better than a 28-person cruise in ha long bay) on our own boat. Lunch on the boat was very tasty too. Our only complaint is that we couldnÕt do the afternoon too because of our time constraints! Highly recommend, and great value for money.

Review Body: Must do in Cat Ba! Review of: Kayaking Me and my partner went on the kayaking half-day trip (afternoon). We were brought to the boat by taxi and a small motorboat. When we got there, we met up with some others who had a whole day trip. We had a very tasty lunch, and there were good options for us as vegans. The kayaking was amazing, our amazing guide Jacob told us the stories behind each place and knew alot about the area. He brought us to hidden lagoons, quiet sand beaches, we stopped to look at the jungle for a bit and we crawled through a cool very narrow cave passage. All in all, a great day. This tour completely changed our perception of cat ba. Thanks again Langur's travels and especially Jacob!

Review Body: Full day kayaking in Lang Ha Bay Review of: Kayaking Whoah, what a beautiful day we have spent w/ LangurÕs adventure crew! Full day of kayaking between the beautiful landscapes of Lang Ha Bay, that exactly looks like Ha Long Bay but with way less tourists. We also ate very good food on the boat, jumped on the water from the roof, explored some caves, and had very interesting explanation from our wonderful guide, Sam. I can only recommend you this tour, and also donÕt hesitate to ask at the office information about CatBa island, what to do, for renting a motorbike or buy bus+ferry tickets to continue youÕre journey in Vietnam. Review Body: Amazing company and staff Review of: Kayaking We did the full day kayaking tour which was the same price as all the other tour companies, however way less people! Langurs have a group size of 14, we were very lucky and had 4. In the morning the other companies nearby were all gathering for their trips and had buses and buses of tourists to go kayaking. The staff (Jacob and Daisy) were great and so friendly, they know a lot about the bay. The lunch was delicious with lots of choice. The tour was quiet and we went a route where you didn't see many other tourists. I would recommend to anyone to go with Langurs for a great day out!

Review Body: Great Day in the Bay Review of: Kayaking The tour was everything I could have hoped for. We got out into the bay to see the karsts and had a delicious lunch. I was worried about following a crowd based on the number of people in town the weekend we were there but Daisy guided us on a route where we only occasionally saw other boats and into several alcoves where we had the space to ourselves Ñ it was wonderful! Review Body: Incredible Kayaking tour Review of: Kayaking This was such an amazing tour! Very relaxed with lots of kayaking (about 3-4 hours). The guides (Steven and Bee) were really nice and very knowledgable. They took us to some amazing remote locations including a hidden pagoda, some really cool caves and lagoons. We also saw a langur monkey which pretty much made the whole day worthwhile. Definitely recommend this tour over others which take you to monkey island because you get to see monkeys in their NATURAL habitat!

Review Body: The highlight of our trip to Ha Long area/Kat Ba area. Very well organised tour, the 2 guides Alex and Alexis were very nice, patient with us and made us feel very safe (given that it was our first outdoor climbing experience). We had a nice lunch at a floating restaurant, and got to enjoy the Ha Long Bay views from the boat. Personnel from the agency were very helpful and helped us book a private speed boat to the island and back (we stayed in Ha Long City).
