Most Cat Tien trips are a quick one-night park stop. This two-night experience is for travellers who want more: not just the national park, but the wider Cat Tien region through local village life, history, and regenerative farming. You’ll visit Ta Lai village, a women’s macramé workshop, the Cat Tien archaeological site, and a cacao farm, then return to a quiet riverside homestay just 5km from the park. You’ll still get the classic Cat Tien nature experience too, with cycling in the park to see giant ancient trees. But what makes this stand out is the mix of nature with real local context. You’re not just passing through the forest. You’re seeing how communities around Cat Tien live, work, and protect the land. The stay itself is simple, green, and community-rooted. Expect a fan room with a mosquito net, home-style meals made with local and garden ingredients, and shared spaces by the river instead of resort comforts. Part of the income also supports free education programmes for children in the village, so your stay has a direct local impact. What to ExpectPrivate two-night stay in a peaceful riverside homestay near Cat Tien National ParkVisit to the Cat Tien archaeological site and Trieu Hai WaterfallBike ride in Cat Tien National Park to see rare ancient trees such as the Giant Tung and Ko Nia treesVisit to Ta Lai village, home to the Mạ and S’tiêng communitiesStop at a macramé workshop that supports stable income for local womenVisit to Stone Hill Farm to learn about cacao growing, chocolate making, and forest restoration, plus a hill climbGood to KnowThis is a simple eco-homestay, not a resort. Meet your host

Hang and her big-hearted team started this community with a simple mission: to use ecotourism as a way to support local children. Through the homestays and guided tours, they not only introduce travellers to the beauty of Cat Tien National Park, but also channel the earnings back into free education programmes for children in the village, helping them gain both academic knowledge and practical life skills. Guests are welcomed by a warm, joyful group of children who are happy to share stories about their village and culture. Past travellers have especially loved the local hospitality, peaceful nature views, and the eye-opening chance to connect with countryside children and see Cat Tien from a more local perspective.
