Review Body: I've been exploring different parts of Singapore every week during this Covid-19 year, and my kayaking trip with SerendipET was of the best experiences I've had in Singapore yet. Our guides Tines and Cherie were incredibly warm and heartfelt, and super passionate about what they do. They encouraged us to pick up ocean litter while we kayaked, which was great because it felt like we were giving back to the environment while we were having fun. We especially loved that they knew lots of stories of the local community and wildlife at Ubin which really made the area come alive for us. Even though we had been to Ubin multiple times before, we saw it in a new light on this trip. The mangrove kayaking was also super fun. The pace was just right - it felt like we saw a lot but also at a pace at which we could really soak in the beautiful surrounds. The hike at Ubin was short, but very rewarding. It's one of the few hikes where the view really looks exactly as it does in pictures - super instagrammable! Finally, the trip to the Kelong really made me feel like I was travelling. There we got to meet really friendly local fish farmers we wouldn't otherwise have met, and it was just a really authentic and cool off-grid local experience. Bonus: we also got two lobsters from the Kelong which were super fresh - and Cherie gave us lots of tips on how to cook them!

Review Body: My friends and I had the best time with SerendipET! We've been to Pulau Ubin a couple of times, but have never kayaked among its mangroves, so we were super excited to do this. It was such a calm and peaceful trip, and the pace was just right. Our guides Tines and Gabriel were amazing, always looking out for us and telling us fun facts about the local community and wildlife. They also encouraged us to pick up any litter we saw along the way, which was really nice. After exploring the mangroves, we did a short hike up to Puaka Hill where everyone takes that Instaworthy picture. The view was amazing and the quarry waters are truly blue. The highlight of the trip has got to be visiting the kelong. Gabriel gave us a super comprehensive and amazing tour, introducing us to the fish, crabs, mussels etc. The kelong uncle was also super friendly and helped us catch 2 lobsters, 1 huge fish and 3kg worth of mussels. And we spent less than $100! A total steal. I highly recommend getting lobsters! We ate one fresh (lobster sashimi style) and oven baked another - it was heavenly. Gabriel also gave us really handy cooking tips which came in useful! Overall this was a wonderful trip and is great value for money! Highly recommend this for anyone looking to do something different in Singapore :)

Review Body: This kayak trip deserves its 5 star rating; it delivers exactly what it promises. It was the first time kayaking for our family of 4: 2 adults, 2 kids (8 and 12). We had Long as our guide. He was friendly, enthusiastic, with many interesting anecdotes about Pulau Ubin. He pointed out a lot of local fauna to us that were blink-and-you'd-miss-it. He made sure we were always able to keep the pace without feeling any exhaustion. It was great, especially when he won over my elder video-games-only kid, and how he attended to my younger kid who had a skirmish with a stray branch and suffered a small cut in his lip. Long administered simple first aid and we carried on with the trip all happy and safe. Lastly, he helped take many photos for us, using his own device (so we wouldn't drop ours, haha), and shared them with us after the excursion. Would highly recommend to anyone who's thinking of trying out kayaking at Pulau Ubin 👍

Review Body: My family and I went on a kayaking trip with SerendipET during the weekend and had a wonderful time. We brought our pets alongs (Two dogs and two birds) and experienced no difficulties (apart from my dog falling into the water 3 times because he clearly doesn't understand how a kayak works). Guides were excellent in guiding us during the trip, showing us different animals found in the Mangroves and on the beach (We saw a mini octopus!). They were also very helpful when we needed assistance and also helped to take many photos for us! For people bringing their pets, do note that you will require a pet carrier during the trip to Pulau Ubin and back unless you are renting the entire boat for yourself which costs a lot more. Thanks SerendipET and team, we had fun!

Review Body: Eugene was the guide for our mangrove -Pulau Ubin kayaking trip. He has a fun and bubbly personality + he’s easy to approach so that you can ask him any questions you have during the trip. It was a pretty educational trip and he’s to willing to share what he knows! This could be anything from wild life that you may see, the kampung life, the islands. Anything! Overall the trip was fun cause of the guide and the group size was relatively small (about 6 of us) so we were taken care of quite nicely. For me, it’s always about the people that makes the trip better and overall it also felt like a short getaway from Singapore. The serene water and wild life to explore is something hard to get in the city life.

Review Body: Together with our 16 y/o dog out to kayak at Pulau Ubin, our entire celebratory experience was well hosted by Hidayah from Serendipet. It was a birthday celebration/surprise for my wife, and Hidayah made good with my plans to keep everything as a surprise for her. Pre-event brief was well prepared in a document, communication was prompt and concise, service was punctual and elaborate. Timings were well adhered to, photos/videos were recorded for our own keepsake! Life vests were even provided for our dog. Thank you, Hidayah, for making this celebration memorable for my wife and our dog! 10/10 would recommend SeekSophie to friends who seek the adventure and escape from the bustle in Singapore.

Review Body: Our guide was Eugene, and what struck me was his consideration towards the other kayakers. An example was when we had to "park" our kayaks at Ah Ma drink stall. Eugene instructed us to stack our kayaks on top of each other, so that there was space for subsequent kayaking groups. And it became apparent why that was necessary when we wanted to kayak away from Ah Ma drink stall. Another kayaking group's kayaks weren't placed in a neat manner, so Eugene had to request the other group's guide to move the kayaks so that we had space to move off. Eugene's love for nature is also apparent, and infectious. With a small group size, the whole experience was personal, and enjoyable.

Review Body: The mangrove kayaking trip was such a fun and memorable experience! 🌿🚣‍♀️ I loved how beginner-friendly it was. The guides made everything super easy to follow, so even if you’ve never kayaked before, you’ll feel comfortable right away. The scenery was peaceful with a lot of history, and a perfect way to explore nature from the water. One of the highlights for me was that it’s pet-friendly 🐾 being able to enjoy the adventure with pets made it extra special. It’s a great activity for anyone looking for something unique, relaxing, and accessible to all skill levels. Highly recommend this trip for families, friends, or anyone wanting to spend a fun day outdoors!

Review Body: My wife and i were gifted this kayaking trip by my daughter and her boyfriend. We were a little hesitant to try it but sure glad we arranged it on my birthday! Our guides, Eugene and Shan made us feel safe by their confidence and knowledge. They worked hard at communicating with the group even while out at sea by grouping us together. They helped us take pictures and shared with the group via Google drive, in that way I didn't have to risk dropping my camera at sea during the trip. Over communication was good and not too much at all. It turned out to be a very pleasant and memorable birthday for me. Would recommend my friends to try this trip!

Review Body: Comfortable kayaking experience with Zac. We were a cosy group, only 5 kayakers. Zac was knowledge about the sights we saw, and even told us we can buy fish from a nearby kelong. I bought one, it was huge, super value for money, and super duper fresh, tastes good! He even took good quality photos for us and sent it to us afterwards. It was overall a pleasant experience. Note: It might say "mangrove kayaking" but it doesn't stink at all. Just make sure you hydrate, apply sunblock regularly (wear a hat, it helps), also good to have a waterproof bag for your phone (but you honestly won't need it) and you're good.

Review Body: The guide Hidayah was on time at the meeting point. She was warm, welcoming and gave us a run down of the duration of each part of the kayaking journey. As we waked along the track and lookout hill or kayaked along the mangroves she provided us info about plants, history of the area, the ferries, lunch options on the island and on mainland etc. If there are 2 people in a Kayak, there’s only room suitable to bring a small dog. If you have a medium dog then we suggest having only 1 person in the rear doing the rowing and dog sits in the front. Our experience was great. Highly recommend it to anyone.

Review Body: Our first booking had to be postponed due to a bad case of food poisoning, however it was really easy to do so and they were very understanding about it! The trip was seamless from start to end and we had the best time! We also saw many marine animals and learnt interesting facts from our guides. They helped us take plenty of pictures and was very accommodating to the children in the group. We bought some fresh mussels home to cook for dinner and boy, they were so good! Plus, the lunch recommendation was fabulous as well. Thank you for our lovely experience! Definitely recommend.

Review Body: Brought our 2 kids (5 and 7yo) for a kayaking session around the mangroves in pulau ubin followed by a small hike up Puaka hill. Hidayah, our guide shared many interesting facts and stories about Pulau Ubin along the way and helped to take many nice photos for us. She was also very patient with our children and helpful with the kayaks. It was a comfortable session with our kids, we did not have to carry heavy kayaks as it was all ready at the beach. We got to see white bellied sea eagles flying overhead too. Great experience and highly recommend for a half day activity!

Review Body: All the guides were experienced and fun, especially “Batman”, my kids love him! We had such a great time. I was anxious before the trip if the kayaking would be too tiring but it was quite easy, even my 9 and 12 year old boys really enjoyed themselves. The pace was very comfortable and great for family with kids, we even get to jumped into the mangrove for a swim. We didn’t stay in Ubin to eat after as my kids were worn out (like how Guide Batman had anticipated). Overall a great experience and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun outing.

Review Body: The tour was an interesting way to see the Singapore nature and environment plus getting a great workout. With the lovely tour guide that gave interesting knowledge of the wildlife and nature of the island it made for a enjoyable trip with sparks of curiosity. The tour guide Tines was so helpful as well after the tour had ended with difficult travel matters, was able to help me out and resolve the issue. I'm very thankful and pleased with the tour and hope to go on another one again. Definitely recommend!

Review Body: I really enjoy the experience. Lots of aspects to it: Got to see some nature - kingfishers, eagles, herons, hornbills, monitor lizards. Kayaking through the mangroves was like a scene out of Lord Jim. Learnt a lot more about Pulau Ubin, despite it being my 4th trip. I liked the combination of kayaking with a trek and a pitstop at the islander's fruit stall. The two guides were really great and the whole experience was really smooth. Very pleased they let us take our dog on the adventure with us.

Eugene briefed us about what to expect when we first arrived and shared some local history of Ubin along the way and also pointed out interesting sights while we were kayaking. I was with 2 kids - aged 10 & 13. The hike up Pakau Hill was worth the walk :) My kids hit it off with Uncle Jeff, they loved kayaking with him and were even more excited when they were allowed to take a dip in the sea at the trip! Review Body: Our guides were knowledgeable and had an air of fun even though it may be their upteempth time kayaking through the mangroves. Local information like the history behind location names and how environmental issues are tackled added more insights to just an activity. Enjoyed gliding through the meandering mangroves riverine system and getting close to the elements very much! If there is one thing to improve, we think it may be nice to include more kayaking time to explore one more smaller area. 🙂

Review Body: What a great way to get to see a different side of Singapore! Would highly recommend this trip to anyone local or visiting that wants to learn a bit more about Singapore's past and even see the old way of life (here you can see fish farms, old bum boats and villages that have been left untouched by the rapid development on the main land of Singapore) as well as experience wildlife. (can see otters, hornbills, monitor lizards and more!). And the guides are super knowledgable and friendly!
