Want in on a local secret? Just a short scoot outside the hustle of Kenting's main beaches lies an absolute gem for anyone wanting to try surfing - or just chill in a quirky, laid-back beach town. Jialeshui's got that surfer-village vibe, with a side dose of stunning scenery. You'll team up with a knowledgeable instructor who'll guide you through two full sessions on the waves. The best part? This spot's a beginner's dream – gentle, long breaks near the river mouth give you plenty of time to practice your moves.What to expect:Two epic surf sessions, each lasting a generous three hours, designed to get you up on the board.A local, experienced instructor to show you the ropes (and keep you safe).Year-round waves mean you can catch this experience at any time.Far less crowded waters than Kenting's main beaches – more waves for you!

Meet your host

After graduating from Taiwan's Trade and Art School, Afei wanted to fulfil his dream of building a surfing community. He loves the sea, the sun and surfing, so he left everything behind, and headed for the forever sunny Kenting in pursuit of his dream. Afei will show you the magnificence of the waves and give you a glimpse of that carefree life of southern Taiwan.
