Disconnect from the world and discover the beauty of Surin Islands.
This adventure offers rare overnight access to the Surin Islands, one of Thailand’s most carefully protected marine national parks. Over two days, you’ll explore the islands by traditional long-tail boat, moving between hidden bays and vibrant coral reefs. Snorkel in crystal-clear water alongside colorful reef fish, clownfish, sea turtles, and—if luck is on your side—a reef shark gliding through the blue. Early mornings and late afternoons offer some of the best snorkeling conditions, with fewer boats and calmer seas.Beyond the water, you’ll visit the Moken Village, home to Thailand’s sea nomads. Learn how generations have lived in balance with the ocean through sustainable fishing practices and deep local knowledge—an encounter that adds cultural depth to this wild island environment. You’ll spend the night in a beachfront tent or a simple island bungalow, falling asleep to the sound of waves rather than city noise. With limited electricity, basic facilities, and little mobile signal, this is a true off-the-grid experience—designed for travelers who value nature, simplicity, and low-impact travel over comfort and convenience. What to ExpectCamping overnight on the pristine beaches of Surin Island, or staying in a basic but comfortable bungalow, listening to the waves and enjoying a true outdoor island experience.Explore the traditional Moken Village, seeing stilt houses, daily fishing and free-diving, handmade crafts, and learning about their sea nomad lifestyle and sustainable way of living.Snorkeling by long-tail boat around Surin Island on day 2 with a maximum of 10 guests on board, exploring vibrant coral reefs, spotting clownfish, sea turtles, and even the occasional shark.English-speaking guide with knowledge of marine life, Surin Island, and the Moken tribeIncludes round-trip shared van transfer from Khao Lak to the pier and shared speedboat transfer from the pier to Surin Island4 meals and fresh fruit provided during the trip (2 Lunches, 1 Breakfast, 1 Dinner)Good to KnowThe itinerary, including the time spent at the Moken Village and snorkeling locations, may change depending on sea conditions, weather, and National Park regulations. On Day 1, enjoy a shared speedboat transfer from the mainland to Surin Island. Snorkeling will take place en route, before arriving at the National Park headquarters. Please note: the maximum number of guests on the speedboat is 25.On Day 2, snorkeling will be done from a long-tail boat with a maximum of 10 guests on board.Check-in times and snorkeling itineraries may vary depending on the type of accommodation chosen. Pongpat runs Surin Island tours with the kind of care that comes from years of experience and a deep connection to the Surin Islands. Since 2012, his family-run team has been guiding visitors through these beautiful waters, sharing not just the sights but the stories behind them. Their guides know the oceans inside out—from the best snorkelling spots to the rhythms of marine life—and they’re always happy to chat and share what they know. Pongpat also works closely with the local community, making sure his tours support the people who call the islands home. It’s not about fancy frills—it’s about real experiences, friendly faces, and a love for the place they’ve known for years.
