Review Body: Amazing stay - everyone was so wonderful and friendly and took care of everything we needed. The rooms themselves were fantastic - super comfortable and clean - one of the cosiest stays of our whole trip. The surrounding area was beautiful and the food was delicious. We had such a wonderful time and enjoyed every moment. Thank you to our wonderful hosts who even picked us up from the bus station and thank you especially to Sunny who took us on a night safari tour herself. We loved it, she showed us so much we had never seen before, was so bubbly and cheerful and made us laugh very very hard. We had a great time and thank you again!!

Review Body: Ample Forest is a beautiful little farmstay, run by three sisters. All of them three did a great job hosting us. The tent shaped rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean and surrounded by lush green forest. The Ample Forest offers great breakfast, as well as lunch and dinner. Everything we ate was delicious and prepared with love. On our first evening we did a cooking class directly at the farmstay. We picked up all the ingredients in the garden and cooked a wonderful meal. On our second day we did the lake experience, which was perfectly organised. We finished our third day with bamboo rafting, which was also great.

All the activities were amazing, and very well organised. We had luck with the weather but would definitely also recommend during the rainy season as there are fewer people. Highlight of our trip :)

Review Body: We had the best time with our wonderful hosts at Ample forest. They were playful and fun and looked after us so well, even picking us up and dropping us off at our other accommodation in Khao Sok. Our rooms were air conditioned and comfortable. Our meals were delicious and we learned so much during our cooking class and had a fabulous time. My three kids loved making our feast from scratch, and finding giant snails and fireflies in the garden at night! Sunni made every aspect heaps of fun for the kids. She and her sisters were so warm and caring. If you stay at the floating raft house, pack spare clothes and underwear and raincoats. We stayed in the wet season and were caught short in the rain with not enough dry clothes. The waterfall excursion was more epic than we were expecting. We climbed up and back down a slippery running waterfall very quickly. You need to have a good level of fitness and be prepared to get soaked! Wear shoes with good grip or hire the rubber shoes from the raft houses. Don’t change your clothes/swimmers between after lunch swimming and your afternoon excursion. The showers are located within the toilet cubicles at the raft houses so we didn’t shower. The facilities were otherwise clean and our hosts and tour guides were knowledgable, friendly, responsive and fun. We saw an elephant on the morning safari, which was a real treat (and quite rare according to our tour guide). We would highly recommend Ample Forest to anyone looking for a more connected and engaging visit, away from the usual tourist trails! Thank you to our wonderful hosts!

Review Body: I stayed at this super cute farmstay for 2 Days and 1 Night, and honestly, it felt like home from the moment I arrived. The sisters who run the place—Jui, Sa, Sun, and Chom—welcomed me like I was part of their family. They are the sweetest people—so friendly, funny, and kind. I loved how they were always joking around, making me laugh, and just being super cute and caring. They treated me like I was their own sister, which made the stay even more special. The farmstay itself is in such a peaceful spot, perfect if you’re looking to just relax and feel at home. After checking in, Jui and Sa took me on a little hike to a nearby monastery. We stumbled upon this gorgeous cliff and a small hidden river—so beautiful! Then, we headed back to the farmstay, where they set up a Thai cooking class for me. Sun gave me a tour of their garden first, and we picked fresh veggies for the class (yep, they grow everything themselves!). The sisters taught me how to make Green Curry, Grilled Chicken, Stir-fried Malindjo Leaves with Egg, and Coconut Balls. It was such a fun class with lots of laughs, and the food turned out amazing! I had the best time and felt so at home with them. I really hope I can come back and visit again soon!

Review Body: I would give the first part of the trip 5-stars. We really enjoyed the farmstay and cooking class. The family who runs it were so fun, funny and welcoming. We have done one Thai food cooking class before, but this one was unique and that nearly all ingredients came from the farm, e.g. you will hand grate a coconut and squeeze it to create coconut milk. Nice place to stay in Khao Sok National Park. The next day was the tour of the lake. I would rate this part 3-stars. This was not run by the family on the farm stay. Instead, we were merged with another large tour group of about 50 people. We stayed at Krai Son Lake House, which you can look up on Google and read reviews there. You will see the reviews are quite mixed. That's because the tour group is large, there really isn't any education provided, the food is fine but pretty bland (made for a large group), the huts are minimal with very firm mattresses, etc. That being said, I appreciated spending time on the lake and the rock formations are stunning. The tour guides were also well intentioned and friendly. I think how much you enjoy this experience will depend a lot on your expectations.

Review Body: My girlfriend and I had a great stay at Ample Forest. We did the cooking class with Sonny, which was great. My favorite part was the inventive way of cooking rice and making a coconut milk. Sonny showed us around the garden and my girlfriend loved seeing all the different plants, which we use for cooking. The food was great. The stay also was really comfortable in the bungalows and we had a nice night of rest. They easily arranged pick-up for us from the Khao Sok Bus Station as well. We had a very good time and would recommend this to anyone staying in Khao Sok. As for the bungalow trip, we did not have the best time. We would have done fine with just booking a day trip onto the water instead of staying there overnight. But that was not organized by Ample Forest.

Review Body: The farm stay with The sisters was an amazing experience, they made sure to pick us up and drop us off afterwards. The farm is in a really peaceful area with a nice little Temple close by where you can walk to and go for a bit of a nature swim. The cooking class was a lot of fun and an experience of its own. The sisters are real characters and made us laugh while we enjoyed the learning experience, the food was good too. After that the boat experience and lake house for us was amazing, the waterfall hike was adventurous, maybe be careful if you are not confident of hiking through water and slippery areas but it was a hilight for us. We saw a buffalo and an elephant and the Views on the lake are spectacular. You won't regeret booking this experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Review Body: I had the most wonderful stay at Ample Forest farmstay. The four sisters are incredible hosts and took care of everything for me with a smile on their faces. The fasmstay is gorgeous, beautiful cabin rooms and incredible views of the forest and the lovely herb and vegetable garden. I cannot recommend this experience enough. Sonny's cooking class was so fun and hilarious, she is an absolute gem. The khao sok floating bungalows were so fun, definitely very basic but had the best time with my group and enjoyed the boat ride and waterfall and cave excursions. The sisters were so kind and happy to drop me into the main town without batting an eye - genuinely the most lovely people ever! Definitely sign yourself up for this experience.

Review Body: Loved our stay at the farm , notice that the farm is not the one operating the tour to the lake , so while the stay in the farm and the cooking class were very nice and in a small group, the lake stay is in a larger group. The family in the farm were very friendly and welcoming, the room is more than enough with ac and comfortable beds. Sunny was our guide in the cooking class and was so funny and energetic Also notice that the bunglows at the lake are very veryyy humble , its almost like camping😅 but we were fine with it because the view was beautiful. Overall we had a great time on the farm and in the forest 👍🏻👍🏻

Review Body: Ample Forest is truly a magical place to stay. It’s incredibly peaceful, and the owner family is wonderfully warm and attentive. I took a cooking class with Sunny where we prepared everything completely from scratch, and it was honestly the best food I’ve ever had. It was so much fun to see how everything is traditionally made. You have everything you need, everything is clean, and you feel comfortable from the very first moment. I will definitely come back one day. Absolutely recommended and again, just a magical place to slow down, unwind, and relax.

Review Body: This 2 day trip was one of the highlights of our Thailand trip as we received such a warming welcome from the hosts of Ample Forest, which are a friendly and welcoming family who embarked us in their daily life as if we were at home. The cooking class was amazing as we picked ourselves all the ingredients from the garden and learned how to empty a coconut. We did a cooking class with the sisters who own the farmstay and it was one of our favorite things of our trip. They’re hilarious and made cooking dinner so much fun. Such a calm stay at ample forest- among the lush greenery and noises of the birds, chooks, etc. incredible cooking class too- we learnt SO much. Great to see how they use almost every plant in the gardens to cook. So fresh. Highly recommend to do the 3D2N trip. The lake stay was also phenomenal. Yes, tourists present during the travel to the raft house- however once on the lake- you feel like the only people there. This tour was one of the highlights of the trip.

Review Body: Thank you to the loveliest hosts! The property and garden are so beautiful, and very secluded. Homemade food was delicious and we felt very safe and looked after by the family. The room is comfortable with aircon but very dark - we wished there were windows to see the lovely garden. Khao Sok lake is incredible! But prepare for many tourists and terrible mattress on the raft house! And bring mosquito spray. All worth it for the views. Thank you sunny and team!

Review Body: Farm situated in a beautiful lush forest! The hosts are super funny and sweet. Same with the cooking class we had loads of fun and felt really well taken care off generally during the trip. The lake stay is very cute but the mattress are super hard haha but no problem for one night. The lake is really warm and we saw quite a few animals, gibbon monkeys, eagles and Hornbill birds. We really enjoyed the little cave tour as well with the bats.

Review Body: We visited Ample Forest as a group of friends and really enjoyed it. The hosts were fantastic, and we had a lot of fun, especially during the cooking class. We all agree that the coconut dessert with bananas was the best dessert we’ve had in Thailand so far (and we’ve been here for 4 months). The trip to the bungalows was super relaxed, we were able to leave our extra luggage at the farm. We would recommend a stay with Jui to anyone:)

Please ensure you bring enough cash to cover these fees. 11:15 AM – Embark on a shared long-tail boat ride to explore the stunning views of the lake. Choose from one of three unique experiences: 1.Bamboo Rafting: Glide down the calm river on a traditional bamboo raft, led by expert local guides. Perfect for those looking to relax and soak in the peaceful surroundings. 2.Canoeing: Take control of your journey as you paddle through winding jungle waterways, spotting wildlife along the riverbanks. This option offers an adventurous yet serene way to explore Khao Sok’s natural beauty. 3. Tubing: For a splash of fun, hop on a tube and float downstream with the river’s gentle current, enjoying both relaxing moments and small bursts of excitement through rapids. (This option available from July - December only) 9:00 AM – Begin your selected water activity, experiencing Khao Sok’s stunning landscapes and wildlife from the water. 11:00 AM – Return to the farm stay, where you can go back to your room to shower and change clothes. 12:00 PM - Check our from your room.
