Review Body: We really enjoyed our 3D2N Khao Sok Riverside Bungalow + Cheow Lan Lake Stay. It was a great experience to spend the first night at Riverside Cottages. It was especially cool to be in the middle of nature, surrounded by monkeys and other animals. The personal touch during canoeing and the night safari made it even more special. During the night safari, our guide took us off the beaten path and led us to places where others didn’t go. This allowed us to see a lot. On the second day, we headed towards the lake. We were a bit disappointed that the group was much larger than we had expected—26 people instead of a maximum of 10. We traveled in a full boat to our accommodation, which was absolutely amazing. We had a private room with our own bathroom on the lake. The pristine nature was stunning, and swimming in the lake was one of the highlights. The activities felt very touristy and were somewhat underwhelming. However, the early morning safari the next day was another highlight for us—we spotted a wild elephant! All in all, we had a fantastic few days and would definitely recommend this trip.

Review Body: The whole trip was a beautiful experience! The riverside cottages are just stunning as they are in the middle of the jungle directly at the river where we could also go for a swim. All the activities we did were also really nice and well planned out. Our guides always took us away from bigger groups and were exited themselves to see some wildlife. The stay at the lake was also amazing and the Cheow Lan lake was just breathtaking. The food there was not so great though. Overall it was an amazing experience and I would recommend it to anyone! :)

Review Body: Definitely a unique experience. The food at the jungle tree house was better than the food at the raft house. The raft house food was meh. I did not realize how far apart the two houses were from each other. I also thought our treehouse was going to have a riverfront view so that was a bummer. Tubing the river was fun. Our van randomly stopping for 25 minutes in a market place was annoying when we just wanted to get to our destination. The raft houses were better than expected… we were happy to have a private bathroom although there is zero hot water. The waterfall hike was really amazing. The cave tour was cool but also scary as there were bats, snakes and spiders everywhere. Olay was a really cool guide… we liked him a lot!

Review Body: A good place to spend the first night. The canoe trip was great; you can see lots of monkeys near the river, with a beautiful view. The night safari wasn't anything special. The lake experience was also fantastic, but the camp facilities were more basic than they looked in the photos. The mattress was very thin (you could feel the ground) and the wooden walkways were a bit less secure (although it wasn't a big problem for us). The excursions were really cool.

Review Body: The Riverside Cottages was fantastic, but we booked a tour trough the resort (1 night at the Lake in floating bungalows) that was not that fantastic. There were way more people than the staff could handle. The safari trips was in groups of 80 people, so we really just saw a bunch of people.

Review Body: Stunning location and beautiful wooden huts. I cannot rate this place highly enough. From the minute we arrived we experienced exceptional service. The staff organised trips, transport and help with onward travel. The wildlife here is amazing and the sounds of the jungle are incredible. We saw a huge snake within minutes after arriving! It felt very safe here and it is impossible not to relax. I would recommend booking into the tours. We booked into the half day/night jungle hike and it was spectacular. Our guide walked us to a gorgeous place where he made us coffee cups and stirrers out of bamboo in front of our very eyes. We then got to wild swim whilst he cooked us a meal (all cooked in bamboo) over an open fire. He the served us up the most amazing meal in the jungle at dusk. It was so romantic and beautiful. On the way back, we walked in the dark with torches and saw vipers, tarantulas, stick insects, a lemur, giant spiders and scorpions. And as for the fireflies, totally magical! We also booked onto the one day lake trip which was great too. We swam and kayaked and had a lovely lunch at the floating bungalows. Although we couldn’t book a tubing trip down the river due to low water levels, there are tubes available to float down a section of the river. This is totally free and we loved doing this. This is highly recommended stay. You will not regret. Thank you to all staff. You really did make it a wonderful experience.

Review Body: We stayed 2 nights in the Forest accommodation as part of a package. It was the most expensive package but for what you get it is well worth it. The 3 days are jam packed with activities, it was all go from the moment we checked in. The amount of wildlife that can be observed in their own natural habitat really took us by surprise. It’s the fanciest way to camp in the jungle, with gecko’s in your room to the monkeys playing across the river during breakfast. The bed is really comfortable with a net to keep out the creepy crawlies. The breakfast was lovely you could order whatever you liked from a set menu, ranging from western breakfast to a pad Thai. Dinner was also very tasty, and we enjoyed the board games which were available to guests. With a pick-up and drop off service after every activity it couldn’t be any easier. The hosts can even organise a transfer for you to your next destination. Staff and everyone we met on the tours were all very helpful and informative.

Review Body: We had an incredible experience at Khao Sok Riverside Cottages! Due to a mistake on our end, we accidentally booked our stay for the wrong month. Despite this, the staff went above and beyond to find a solution for us, ensuring we still had a place to stay and could participate in all activities as planned. For our first night, they kindly prepared a volunteer room for us, which was a thoughtful gesture. The second night, we had the opportunity to stay on Khao Sok Lake, which was an unforgettable experience. Finally, on the third night, we stayed in one of the regular riverside cottages, which was beautiful and comfortable. We are truly grateful for their kindness, flexibility, and willingness to accommodate us despite the booking mistake. Their hospitality made our stay even more special, and we highly recommend Khao Sok Riverside Cottages to anyone visiting the area!

Review Body: This is a wonderful place in the jungle with lovely huts and great food and very attentive staff. You will be spending amazing days in a quiet jungle setting. The cottage also provides good transport links to the village and national park entrance as walking is not recommended. Remember that Khao Sok is one of the wettest places in Thailand, usually the mornings are good and the afternoons rainy. Do take a swim at the beach, it is lovely. Just one point to note - there were some swings at the beach and the ropes made from synthetic material were dissolving and need replacement, don't touch them until this has been done.

Review Body: We loved our stay at Khao Sok Riverside Cottages. The staff was very friendly, the food was fresh and delicious, and the rooms were clean. We went river tubing the day we arrived with Nook, who we shared conversation with as we floated down the river. We saw otters, monkeys, and snakes from the river. The staff was aware of our lake trip and wrote out a timeline for us for all of our upcoming activities. They also arranged reasonably priced private transfers to and from the cottages and Phuket for us. This place is so serene, relaxing, and beautiful. Definitely a highlight of our travels in Thailand so far!

Review Body: Hidden away in the jungle and bungalows all connected to the restaurant area with walkways this is a great little place. We stayed for 2 nights and loved it. The food was great, staff excellent and location perfect to experience the jungle but also easy access to the lake. Great value for money. We will visit again and do a guided jungle hike as we didn’t have time this year.

Review Body: My 10 year old daughter and I had a great time. The food at the Riverside Cottages was exceptionally tasty, and all activities we did on the 4d/3n tour were a lot of fun. One thing that I was not expecting was the amount of transit/prep time associated with the different activities at the lodge. For a four day/three night tour, you'll need to check in at the lodge twice, and spend hours transiting not just from the lodge to the lakehouse, but also from the lakehouse itself to different parts of the lake (sometimes up to an hour each way). Even the river kayaking and cooking class activities -- which were both lovely, to be clear -- were not held "at" the lodge itself, but rather some 15 - 20 minute aways.

Due to space limitations on the long-tail boat, guests should pack a small overnight bag, while the rest of your luggage can be stored at the resort. If you’ve booked a private transfer to your next destination after the trip, our driver will bring your luggage to the dam on Day 3. 9:00 AM Depart from the resort for a 1-hour drive to Ratchaprapha Pier. 10:00 AM Arrive at the pier, where you’ll pay the National Park and pier fees (not included; approximately 340 THB per adult / 170 THB per child in total, payable in cash). After paying, you'll join a long-tail boat with 16-20 other guests for a scenic ride through the stunning landscapes, heading to a raft house where lunch will be provided (included). 11:00 - 11:30 AM Arrive at the raft house and check in to your room. 12:00 PM Enjoy a delicious Thai lunch. 1:00 PM Spend your afternoon swimming in the emerald waters, kayaking, or optionally going on a jungle hike.
