Review Body: After the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, this retreat was much loved by the whole family. Nestled away, next to the river in Pak Chong (~40mins from Khao Yai National Park), our amazing hosts were able to organise a night safari and a full-day safari for us, maximising our time and ensuring we had an amazing experience.
5min walk to Pak Chong night markets for dinner and a 7-11 down the street, this idyllic setting is a relaxing getaway. Incredibly grateful to the most hospitable hosts and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing stay.
10/10 Breakfast too, and between us we tried all options! Plus, the black coffee is a must to kick-start your day.

Review Body: One of the best places I've stayed in Thailand!
The hosts and staff were extremely friendly and accomodating. We got a free room upgrade and when I got sick they rearranged our tour of Khao Yai National Park for us. They also helped us with other arrangements on multiple occassions.
The accomodation is beautiful and has a very relaxed, natural vibe. The breakfast looks and tastes beautiful.

Beautiful location away from any noise but a short stroll to town and the markets etc. paddle boards and bicycle an available at Accomodation. Khao yai park and ban tha Chang springs for a swim easily accessible either with a rental vehicle or a guide to take you.

Review Body: We loved our little jungle hideaway cabin. We loved sitting on our tiny balcony watching all the life on the river including monitor lizards and kingfishers. Eh was so welcoming and warm and the breakfast each day was delicious. Make sure you go to the Vintage restaurant next door - it is incredible - I have never seen anything like it. We highly recommend this hotel.

Review Body: We couldn't have asked for anything better. The location is right on the edge of the reserve and yet you can walk into the city in 5 minutes. It's quiet, well decorated. Interesting Vibe. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They even brought a mosquito coil when we were having a drink on our balcony even though there were no mosquitoes around at the time.

Small Pak Chong homestay with a private Khao Yai safari
If you want Khao Yai with real local connection, not just a park tour and a room key, this is the one to book. You’ll stay in a quiet canalside homestay in Pak Chong, where the stay feels like "hosted by your friends". You feel safe asking the host anything. It’s especially good for solo travellers and independent travellers who want a private full-day safari, but also want a base that feels personal and dependable. The homestay was created by two Pak Chong-born sisters who came home from city jobs and built the place around cultural exchange, not volume. They had already spent years hosting international travellers before opening in 2019, so they understand the small details that make people feel comfortable across cultures. Reviews often mention how flexible and reliable they are, safari guide with impressive service, tasty-but-healthy breakfast. The setting adds to that slower, more local feel. Day 1 is intentionally light, so you can paddle on the Lam Takong River, borrow a bike for sunset, or head 15 minutes to the night market instead of following a fixed schedule. Day 2 is a full-day private safari with guides that breath this park. This option is the right combination of relaxing stay and calm private safari. What to Expect2 nights in a small canalside homestay in Pak Chong, with private bathroom.Flexible first afternoon with free SUP on the Lam Takong River and free bicycle use for sunset rides or exploring townPrivate full-day Khao Yai safari with an English-speaking guide and transport from the homestayOpen-air wildlife drive with chances of spotting gibbons, hornbills, wild boar, and, if you’re lucky, elephantsBeginner-friendly 2km jungle walk, scenic viewpoints, Haew Suwat Waterfall, and a late-day search around grasslands or salt licksKhao Yai National Park entrance fee, binoculars, telescope, leech socks, and accident insurance for the safari day is included2 tasty homemade breakfasts, 1 Thai lunch in the park, water, soft drinks, snacks, and fresh fruitGood to KnowThe safari is arranged privately for your booking; the homestay itself is a small shared property with only 4 roomsTransport to the homestay is not includedDinner is not included; Pak Chong Night Market is about 15 minutes away on foot. Meet your host
Eh and Oh are Pak Chong-born siblings who started the experience in 2019 after leaving airport and airline jobs that didn’t feel right for them. Instead of city life, they came home and slowly turned their family’s old house into a place that feels more like a friend’s home than a standard stay.
Their way of hosting was shaped long before that, through Couchsurfing since 2012.
Their goal was never just a place to sleep, it's a "friend's home" where guests feel safe enough to ask Eh and Oh anything, the way you'd ask a friend, not a front desk. Their inspiration is that they can't take their whole community out to see the world, so they bring the world to the community instead. Every guest becomes a small cultural exchange, while preserving identity of the town they call home.
