A heartfelt village stay in Borneo, with food so good you won’t leave
In this 3D2N experience, you'll stay in a traditional Sarawak village and learn the local ways with a super hospitable host. It's slow, it's heartfelt and many guests say they wished they stayed for longer!Saloma and her family make you feel at home straight away — not in a polished, resort way, but in a warm, lived-in way where you can just relax and settle in. The days are well-paced, with a mix of activities and plenty of time to unwind in the hammocks or just enjoy the surroundings. You’ll visit orangutans, explore her village, trek through jungle to a waterfall, and try bamboo cooking using ingredients from their farm. The food is a real highlight, and a lot of guests say it’s something they look forward to each day. What to expect Includes return transport from Kuching 2 nights' stay with Saloma’s family in a quiet villageVisit Semenggoh orangutan sanctuaryExplore a Bidayuh village and longhouseJungle trek to farm and waterfallTry bamboo cooking with local ingredientsHome-cooked meals (a highlight!)Slow down and relax on hammocks, take in the village lifeOptional night walks to see fireflies
