An off-grid jungle stay you won’t want to leave
This 3D2N homestead experience is often described as “food for the soul.” You’ll live off-grid in the rainforest, slow down, and reconnect with nature and the Bidayuh community in a deeply meaningful way.Getting to the homestead is part of the adventure — you’ll travel deep into the rainforest by boat and cross suspension bridges to reach it. Once there, it’s remote and quiet, the kind of place where you slow down without trying. The homestead itself is really lovely, and even has modern comforts such as wifi and an ensuite toilet and shower.Days here are simple and grounding. You’ll hike, swim, forage in the jungle, cook over fire, and spend time with the community on their ancestral land. Charlotte is a British architect, and Jerome is a Bidayuh builder from the local community. Together with Simo, the village chief, they built this homestead with the Bidayuh community from the ground up.
It’s not just a place to stay. It’s a nonprofit project designed to support local families and protect the forest. Everything here — from the buildings to the experiences — is shaped by the people who live on this land.
By staying here, you’re not just visiting the rainforest. You’re part of something that helps preserve Bidayuh culture and sustain the community that calls it home.
