We’ve been to Komodo 20+ times and this is the secret side we’d show our friends
[14-21 May 2026] You've heard of the Komodo Islands - but never like this. On this 8D7N adventure, we’ll show you a side of Komodo that most travellers miss, and take you deeper into the beautiful Flores region with spiderweb rice fields and a remote UNESCO heritage village! Most Komodo boat trips are 3D2N, but we specially curated a 4D3N itinerary so you can explore the islands at a more relaxed pace. You'll still visit iconic spots like Padar Island, Pink Beach, and see Komodo dragons, but with extra secret snorkelling spots and more meaningful experiences like coral planting and spending time with local village kids. And yes, you’ll be sailing on one of the nicest, cosiest luxury boats in Komodo that even has a jacuzzi on board! You’ll also hike up to the remote UNESCO village of Wae Rebo where you'll sleep in traditional cone-shaped houses and experience real village life (the stars at night are unreal). And wrap up with the most wholesome farm-to-table tribal dinner feast - one of our favourites.One-Off Trip in 2026This Seek Sophie Komodo Community Trip is happening only once in 2026 [14-21 May 2026]. We’re keeping it small at just 11 participants, so it stays personal and intimate, and for you a chance to connect with other like-minded travellers in the group. If you’d like to join this Komodo trip that’s girls-only, click here! Why We Created Community TripsWe’re always on the ground meeting amazing locals and finding hidden spots. So we thought: why not use all that insider info to create a dream trip we'd take our own friends on? Think of Community Trips as a Seek Sophie omakase. We get to go a little wild with our ideas, show you places that aren’t usually open to the public, add the thoughtful touches we’ve always dreamt of, and make it really special for you. Every trip also gives back, so your adventure makes a direct impact on the communities and ecosystems you visit. What Makes This Seek Sophie Community Trip Special?1. See Komodo Like No One Ever HasYou’re getting real insider access on this trip - no other Komodo itinerary looks like this. We’ve been to Komodo 20+ times and know the place inside out, so we worked hard to design the version we’d show our closest friends. That means skipping the “meh” spots, timing things to avoid the crowds, and adding places most travellers never get to see. This trip brings you beyond the standard Komodo itinerary to extra secret snorkelling spots like Seraya Besar and Hatamin Island, magical BBQ dinner on the beach under the stars, seeing sunset at Padar Island (instead of the usual sunrise to avoid the crowds), and sunrise at Gili Lawa’s savanna viewpoint.2. Give Back Through Meaningful EncountersMake a real impact by planting corals, meeting the kids at Kerora Village and seeing firsthand how a yellow boat NGO programme helps them get to school safely every day. Not only are you seeing the secret corners of Komodo National Park, you're also protecting what makes it special.3. Sail on a Luxury BoatYou’ll sail on one of Komodo’s nicest boats with a jacuzzi! All the cabins are cosy, have air-conditioning and an ensuite toilet.4. Stress-Free AdventureThis community trip has a dedicated Seek Sophie team member (also female!) as well as local guides. All accommodation, on-ground transport and most meals are included - so you can just be present and enjoy the experience!5.
