If you have any specific colour requirements, please contact our team ahead of the workshop.Flow of workshopEvery basic leather crafting workshop is conducted by an experienced leather artisan, with each session consisting of (i) basic theory; and (ii) a hands-on session. Participants will be given a brief introduction to the types, quality and characteristics of different leather; Basic leather care and maintenance; and an overview of leather crafting tools and techniques.Create your own leather project with guidance from experienced leather artisans. Learn the basic leather crafting techniques (cutting, burnishing, installing buttons, hand-stitching) and finally personalise your own projects by embossing your name or initials.

Learn to hand stitch an everyday carry clutch!
- Participants will be given a brief introduction to the types, quality and characteristics of different leather; Basic leather care and maintenance; and an overview of leather crafting tools and techniques.
- Create your own leather project with guidance from experienced leather artisans. Learn the basic leather crafting techniques (cutting, burnishing, installing buttons, hand-stitching) and finally personalise your own projects by embossing your name or initials.

What started out as a hobby developed into an overwhelming passion and ultimately a viable business. Today, Hides and Thread has grown into a leather design house, a small-scale production line and a leather-crafting space for avid learners.
