Review Body: If you like the finer things in life in every aspect of your travel journey you have found it in The Island Lodge! So much attention to every detail from the very modern architectural exterior and interior cool Indochina vibe design, gorgeous well maintained walkways/garden/sitting/pool/dock areas, the subtle music playing, variety of comfortable private sitting areas, beautiful sunsets, continual personalized service from the owners as well as the very well trained friendly staff, choice of toiletries, tea and coffee offered in the rooms, small gifts, arrival appetizers and special drinks....I could go on! All aspects of luxury comfort in your very private, quiet, spacious well designed room- wardrobe and bathroom facilities separated by a wall from the bed/seating area to not obstruct the marvelous view of the Mekong straight through your private balcony. The restaurant was impeccable and the menu was well thought offering a variety of authentic elevated local cuisine, french specialties as well as western foods! All deliciously plated and enjoyed! The beverage menu was complete, exotic and all prepared using fresh ingredients. The spa offered a variety of services, of which my husband thouroughly enjoyed! The tours were organized to allow you to explore the real Mekong Delta, its people and way of life away from the touristy crowds -- we enjoyed the Secret Arroyo adventure as well as the Cocoa boat/bike ride and they exceeded our expectations, both the cheerful energentic english speaking guides and our experience. Not to mention the welcome back greeting and beverages! You could easily walk or bike on quiet pathways around the lodge as well to discover more treasures of the area. We could not have asked for a more luxurious complete three night stay. Thank you to Michel and Francoise for their absolutely well thought out concept and their execution to the highest of standards to creat this serene oasis of bliss in the chaotic Vietnam. xo

Review Body: I accidentally found out about this resort when trying to look for a place (different than the beach) to entertain my son in the summer. Our original plan was to stay here probably one or two nights, in order to have some time to explore Mekong Delta, but in the end, after reviewing and checking with friends, we decided to spend a 3 night holiday here, and The Island lodge did not make us disappointed. The resort is small but beautiful and well taken care. A warm feeling even though I arrived in a rainy afternoon. It locates at the end of a small road so very quiet. Beautiful scenes inside, the room is spacious (premium room, by the garden), the bed is big and a free kid bed separately for my son (very well thoughts). The pool is nice and by the river. Service here is exceptionally good. Special thanks to Mr Minh at the restaurant who really helped my family during the days we were here. All the staff are nice. My son and I love the young small girl who was our tour guide in all our tours. My son loved the cycling tour most as he could go around the village, even in the rain (a very good experience) to explore Mekong Delta. All the tours were customized and exciting. The only two things that I did not like much were the bath tub (i intended to book a room with bathtub but the water pressure was very weak so can't really use the tub much. We waited for few hours and still could not have it even half-full) and lots of mosquitoes in the restaurant during dinner. In general we did have very good experience and stay in The Island Lodge. My son super loved it and keeps asking me to let him come back. So thank you for all your efforts to do all the best for us as guests. Look forward to coming back soon! Cheers, Mai

Review Body: So lovely to be collected from Ho Chi Minh airport by the Island Lodge car and whisked away to the tranquility of the resort. From the moment you arrive it takes your breath away. The welcome drink and nibbles. The personal welcome from the owner and the friendliness of the staff. Then you begin to take in the beauty of the surrounding gardens, pool and the buildings themselves. Not to mention the decor and the beautiful artifacts that add to the character of the lodge. We traveled with our 9 year old son. The room was spacious enough for the three of us. The balcony makes the room feel even bigger and is a great way to enjoy the river. The pool area is well designed, the loungers always set up with towels and sun hats. There are lovely little seating areas and places to relax throughout the lodge. The breakfast was lovely with freshly baked pastries and fruit plus anything else you wanted from the menu. The menu for lunch and dinner was extensive and we enjoyed the freshness of the food. It was a treat to be waited on. We stayed 2 nights. We took one of the tours on offer which was well worth the while. There was enough for our son to do and we were able to relax. We feel privileged to have stayed somewhere as special and unique as The Island Lodge .

Review Body: Absolutely loved the Island Lodge. It is more expensive than many Vietnam hotels, but still very reasonable compared to prices in other countries. Anyway, it is worth every penny. It is a small boutique hotel. We were there in the rainy season and it was so quiet that the staff outnumbered the guests by far. We were spoilt and pampered by everyone and nothing was too much trouble. Michel and Francoise, the owners, welcomed us personally and we were made to feel very welcome. The rooms are comfortable. The pool area, bar, restaurant and gardens are all open plan and there are many areas to escape, with seating dotted around the complex. We sat under a huge gazebo in the garden on our first full day, while it rained heavily. It was quiet and beautiful and gave us a chance to stop and relax and unwind. The spa was great and I had a lovely massage, pedicure and manicure. The food was lovely, always served with a selection of delicious bread and an amuse bouche. Breakfasts were as big as you wanted. Everything served at an unrushed pace by smiling staff. Just go and unwind and slow down. It's a treat and I'll definitely go back if I come to Vietnam.

Review Body: This is a HIDDEN GEM!! It starts when you arrive and are met with a nice greeting drink and food and a greeting from the owners Michel and Francoise. The facility is very well manicured and tasteful. A wonderful fusion of Old world and new world Vietnam. The art work is very tasteful and creative. The rooms are wonderful, there’s only 12 and they all seem done very well. Comfortable and have a humble elegance about them. The food is a highlight. As the menu says, perfect fusion of French and Vietnamese. The breakfast is a great way to start the day - pastries followed up with fresh juice and coffee and the a wonderful selection of meals. All of the selections we had were wonderful (some of the best Ph? I have had). We loved all meals. As far as activities, we borrowed the bikes and went out on the 6km ride. They have bikes with babyseats, kids bikes and others. If biking is critical to your experience call in advance to confirm the configuration will work for you but well worth it to kill a few hours. To summarize, this resort is a wonderful getaway from Ho Chi Minh City (2 hours) easy drive and a very relaxing, tasteful escape.

Review Body: Liked · Fantastic pool right down to the Mekong River. Our children of 5 and 8 loved it and at the same time got an impression of life on the river. The food was good with both French and Vietnamese menu cards. We were on a bike ride organized by the hotel and it was well organized for our little family and with a really good guide. Lovely oasis in a rural setting. Quietly. Would recommend to anyone with or without children. We were there for three nights and the hotel arranged a transfer to and from Saigon. We were allowed to stay in our room until we left on the last day at 15. It was nice, especially with our children :-) A really good experience! Disliked · I liked it all, but our son of 8 might have wanted a slightly larger cot. But we had even wanted a room overlooking the river, even though the hotel had stated that they were smaller than those with garden views.

Review Body: Last week, I spent a solo trip to The Island Lodge in My Tho. I live a bout 1h20mn away and it was my first stay, but third visits. I enjoyed the stay very much, the nature and the simplicity of life around the resort. It is a great place to relax, especially if you live in HCMC. The pool is splendid and overlooks the Mekong. What is truly special is the level of love and attention to details that the owners put into everything. The service is good and the staff is attentive and friendly. Special thanks to Mrs. Chau, the operation manager, who made me feel special and well cared for. I also loved the bar, which has a great collection of fine Rhum and Rhum arranges. I will soon return, and even if the price is rather high for such category, it is worthwhile. Satisfaction guaranteed.

Review Body: We had a fantastic stay at the Island Lodge - the hotel is beautiful. The decor is amazing, the food is fabulous and all the staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Even down to the pool guy who noticed I hadn't got my hat on in the jacuzzi and bought one over for me to wear!! We went on a bike/boat tour from the Lodge which was great - only 10 mins by boat and were able to cycle down easy lanes away from traffic to view coconut and fish farms. I had a spa treatment whilst there which was very relaxing - the staff at the Spa were really good. All in all a fantastic break from touring around Vietnam - we only wish we could have stayed longer. Also lovely to have personal attention from Michel & Francois the hosts.

Review Body: If you are looking for a peaceful place in South Vietnam, we really recommend you The Island Lodge. Everything was perfect : it's a small boutique hotel with only 12 rooms, the rooms are very nice with a private balcony with view on the pool and the Mekong, very quiet place, beautiful swimming pool at perfect temperature, wonderful service, excellent French and Vietnamese food, beautiful breakfast included. They also offer some boat and/or bike tours with a guide. A nice way to discover the villages and the local fruits and plants. We loved our 4 days in this little paradise and we will come back Room tip: You have 4 rooms in the garden or 8 rooms with pool and Mekong view

Review Body: We stopped here for a couple of nights on arrival in Vietnam. The perfect place to get over the stress of work, the long flight & snooze off your jet lag in the sunshine. Small things make a big difference & the chef emailing to make sure we had some food provided, despite arriving very late at night, was a much appreciated touch. The location is unspoiled and didn’t feel touristy at all, indeed we caused quite the stir heading out for a run on the island. For us, that was a huge plus. It’s was a little further away from Ho chi min, than I realised, but I think it was well worth it. Very comfy rooms, very comfy sun loungers & very tasty food. Would highly recommend

Review Body: We stayed 3 nights at the Island Lodge during our journey in Vietnam and we loved it. It is a very quiet place and all the staff are so nice and helpful. The pool, the garden and the restaurant are nice places to hang out and just relax - maybe have a juice or a cocktail/mocktail. For breakfast you just choose whatever you like from the breakfast menu with fruits, cereals, croque monsieurs, omelettes, juices, homemade breads etc and everything is very delicious. And the coffee is great! So if you have to get away from the huzzle in Saigon or just need to relax completely we could highly recommend the Island Lodge.

Review Body: There are lots of cheap homestays / hostels / hotels in the Mekong but if you are willing to spend a little more, then the Island Lodge is truly fantastic. Its only 2 hrs from Saigon but feels a world away - hidden amongst the trees. As soon as you arrive, you feel yourself relaxing. The rooms are beautiful, the food is excellent, the swimming pool looks out to the Mekong and you can easily spend a day sitting there with a book, eating complimentary breads/cakes that are freshly baked in the kitchen. The owners are wonderful and their team are all welcoming. Go stay there!

Review Body: Wow. We visited the Island Lodge at the end of our honeymoon in October, we weren't expecting it to be so absolutely wonderful. We were greeted personally by the owners after a lovely welcome by the staff and our bags were whisked away to our lodge. I can't say enough about how fabulous this place is, the idyllic location, wonderful service and facilities. I managed to get a vegetarian menu which was very helpful and once the staff learned it was our honeymoon, they presented an absolutely divine lemon meringue tart as a celebration for us. I wish we could go back.

Review Body: This past weekend was our third getaway to the Island Lodge where Michel greeted us with the usual warm hospitality, a welcome drink, and some delectable appetizers - already we are in heaven even before we unpack our bags and head to the pool. We love everything about the lodge but we especially enjoy the food which never disappoints. The staff are exceptionally accommodating and cannot do enough to please. We HIGHLY recommend The Island Lodge! Room tip: Your personal preference - we enjoy the river view but those garden bungalows also look inviting

Review Body: We stayed for two nights earlier this month and were pleasantly surprised upon arrival! The lodge is situated on the river delta, away from traffic and noise, its stunning and somewhere to completely relax and de stress. The hosts and staff were very professional and friendly, Chau the manager was only too happy to give advice on the surroundings. If you are looking to stay somewhere close to bars and restaurants then this isnt the place for you, however the lodge does serve great food and cocktails with great views across the pool and garden.

The exquisite architecture set in a immaculate landscaped setting overlooking the mekong River is only trumped by the impeccable staff. The French based cuisine is effortlessly combined with a local twist - highlight is the breakfast that appears endless and starts the day in a relaxed manner We spent three glorious days with two of our grown up children and shall return as soon as possible. Room tip: 8 rooms of the 12 overlook the river - choose one of these with a list floor balcony

Review Body: We have just spent a 3 day week end at the lodge. From start to finish the experience was perfect. The place is along the mekong: elegant and peaceful with a feeling to be at home or at some friend place. The food and the breakfast are excellent. The service is impeccable. The surroundings are charming. Our highlight was a 17km ride from the lodge to discover tge mekong delta. Absolutely beautiful and authentic. Nature with a big A! Review Body: Liked · Private lodge, you feel at home with unparalleled comfort while retaining sobriety and a great delicacy in the decoration. We were not in a hotel but in a luxury eco lodge, where the priority Michel and Francoise welcomed us and accompanied us. Note that the lodge employs and trains only local staff. Finally the bike tours, the pool, the sauna.. everything is just right, a good balance. The icing on the cake to finish our roadtrip to Vietnam

Review Body: Simply great place to get out the hustle and bustle of Saigon. Just a 2 hrs drive to reach a lovely relaxing clean lodge, located at the end of Unicorn Island. Michel & Francoise are extremely welcoming and the place is pure heaven, with very clean bungalows, outstanding garden and, more over, excellent service from everyone. Proposed discoveries are interesting and worth the ride before a dive in the pool and the jacuzzi.

Review Body: We have recently returned from staying at the Island Lodge. It was our last stop of our nine-day tour of Vietnam. It's a perfect location to unwind and relax. We spent 2 nights and enjoyed the hotel bike and boat tour, which i highly recommend exploring the local area. Or relax by the pool and enjoy the delicious food the hotel has to offer. The staff are extremely friendly and can't do enough to make your stay enjoyable.
