Luxury diving + boutique comfort on a sleek yacht around Thailand’s best sites
If you're looking for a luxury liveaboard dive trip that delivers big on comfort and world-class dives, MV RAGA is one of the best boats out there. Freshly renovated in 2024, this sleek and modern steel yacht has been thoughtfully upgraded to feel more like a boutique floating hotel than your average dive boat. Over 5 days and 4 nights, you’ll explore Thailand’s top underwater sites — Similan Islands, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, Richelieu Rock, and the Boonsoong Wreck — with up to 14 dives along the way. And when you're not underwater, you’ll be sunbathing on a spacious deck, watching a film in the indoor salon, or simply enjoying the sea breeze and epic sunsets. What makes MV RAGA stand out is how well-designed and comfortable every area is. At 37 metres long and 8 metres wide, it’s built for smooth sailing — ideal for those who worry about seasickness. With no more than 28 guests on board and a 5:1 diver-to-guide ratio, you'll never feel crowded. Each air-conditioned cabin has its own ensuite bathroom, full-sized wardrobes, hair dryers, and safes. The Master Suite even comes with a TV and mini fridge for that extra touch of spoil-yourself-luxury.This is perfect for divers who want their trip to be as pampering as it is adventurous. Whether you’re chasing mantas and macro critters or just want a laidback, high-comfort escape on the water, MV RAGA effortlessly blends top-tier diving with five-star vibes. What to Expect5-day, 4-night dive trip to Thailand’s top sites: Similan Islands, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, Richelieu Rock & Boonsoong WreckNewly renovated in 2024 with modern interiors, upgraded facilities, and elegant finishings14 dives including night and wreck dives, guided by experienced divemasters (max 5 divers per guide)Spacious steel yacht with excellent stability — smooth ride, even in choppy conditionsPrivate cabins with ensuite bathrooms — no squeezing or bunk beds, just proper space and comfortRooms are well-sized with air-con, wardrobe, hair dryer, and all the little touches you’d expect from a hotelGenerous indoor and outdoor lounging spaces including a massive sundeck and air-conditioned saloon with a 65” TVAll meals included — freshly cooked Thai and international cuisine, soft drinks, snacks, and 1GB of satellite Wi-FiTransfers from Phuket hotels to the boat included (Naithon, Patong, Karon, Kata, Rawai, Chalong, Phuket Town)Dive Sites & Marine Life HighlightsKoh Bon – Manta Ray Hotspot: Famous for its manta ray cleaning station, Koh Bon is the top site for spotting Oceanic Manta Rays, especially from February–April. Divers can also encounter leopard sharks, reef sharks, moray eels, octopus, cuttlefish, and vibrant reef fish such as sweetlips and trevallies. The site features a dramatic wall and ridge covered in soft corals and sea fans.Koh Tachai – Big Schools & Pelagic Action: Known for its strong currents and impressive underwater pinnacles, Koh Tachai offers exciting dives with large schools of barracuda, trevally, fusiliers, and other hunters. Occasional sightings of manta rays and whale sharks occur during the season. The site also hosts nudibranchs, shrimps, and healthy soft coral formations around massive granite boulders.Richelieu Rock – Thailand’s Best Marine Biodiversity: Richelieu Rock is one of the richest dive sites in Thailand, renowned for its extraordinary diversity of marine life. Expect huge schools of fish, barracudas, snappers, trevallies, and seasonal encounters with whale sharks. Macro lovers will find ghost pipefish, seahorses, harlequin shrimp, frogfish, nudibranchs, and countless critters hidden within soft corals, anemones, and sea fans.Boon Soong Wreck – Fish Clouds & Macro Haven: This shallow wreck is packed with marine life, often so dense you can barely see the structure beneath the schools of snappers, fusiliers, batfish, and trevally. The wreck is home to moray eels, porcupinefish, lionfish, scorpionfish, rays on the sandy bottom, and a wide variety of nudibranchs and small critters — perfect for photographers and macro enthusiasts.Similan Islands: Feature multiple world-class dive sites such as Elephant Head Rock, West of Eden and Christmas Point. Expect colorful soft & hard corals, turtles, reef sharks, barracuda, trevally, moray eels, and plenty of macro creatures like nudibranchs and pipefish.Good to KnowWe welcome guests with Open Water certification on this trip. However, the dive sites on this route including the Similan Islands, Richelieu Rock, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, and the Boon Soong Wreck — typically range from 20–30 meters in depth with moderate currents, making them perfect for deeper and more advanced diving. To ensure you can enjoy all dives safely and join the main group, Open Water divers are required to complete either the PADI Deep Adventure Dive or the full PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course onboard. For your convenience, both options are available in the Add-On section:PADI Deep Adventure Dive (valid for 1 year)PADI Advanced Open Water Diver CourseIf you haven’t dived in over 2 years, you’ll need to complete a refresher course before joining.
