Review Body: This was such a unique experience! Not only was the rooftop very special and chilled, the experience was also incredibly insightful and fun! The rooftop venue was glorious. It felt like the speakeasies in London, hidden from the world and an incredibly chilled oasis. While we were up there we felt like we were transported to an entirely different country. We're already planning our next trip back! At first we thought the experience was pretty random as it seemed to include lots of disconnected parts: organic farming, beekeeping and honey tasting/cocktails! But it turns out that it was intended to show us how incredibly interconnected our earth's ecosystem is. The quality of the soil influences the plants -> plants in turn affect the bees & the honey they produce -> and finally that affects the food & drinks that we consume! Clarence was super knowledgeable and interesting, and was able to answer all the questions we asked. We were there with a group of friends - it's perfect for couples or a small group who want to see a cool place and learn something new! There was also a family doing the experience with us and they seemed to be having lots of fun too! Fun fact: The bees here are rescued. When bees are discovered in housing estates or schools, they'll call Clarence who will come and rescue them, and house them in the apiary. We thought that made the experience extra, extra special!

Review Body: At the Sundowner you can learn how to farm your own herbs, spices and fruits from your balcony in Singapore! For someone like me who is terrible at keeping plants alive, the session was super informative and it inspired me to start farming my own basil (it's still alive!) Clarence was a super chill and cool host who knew pretty much EVERYTHING about organic farming and wild bees. I loved the honey tasting session where we learnt different ways to describe honey other that sweet - who knew it could be woody, floral, or fruity? The session ended with a cocktail customizing session, where you can pluck some herbs around the organic garden and use them to enhance the flavour of your drink. Overall an amazing experience and would highly recommend to couples who are looking to try something new for a date!

Review Body: Being on this secret rooftop felt like I was at an Australian countryside vineyard experience :) When we first stepped onto the whimsically decorated rooftop (you have to cross this beautiful pond and neon sign), Clarence plucked a spearmint for us to eat! We loved the entire experience — it was so chill and so special. The best part about this was of course, meeting and learning all about the bees, and tasting different types of honey after. Highly highly recommend this for anyone craving that overseas countryside experience :)

Review Body: Fun and educational session! If you want to experience something new apart from the same old same old stuff in "boring" Singapore, do give this bee discovery session a try! You'll be challenged to get out of your comfort zone, to go up close and personal with the bees and learn so much more about their life cycle and bust a few commonly held myths about these buzzing creatures. Best of all, you get to try and blind taste several variants of honey and make your very own honey-themed cocktail at the end!

Review Body: Very fun trip, Clarence is very knowledgeable about bees and nature. Took my wife there for her birthday and she loved it. I just wish there were separate booking categories for adults and children - of course kids should be able to experience this too, but it would make the experience perfect to have separate kids-focused and kids-free groups if booked far enough in advance.

  • 15 mins before selected timeslot
  • Notes: This activity was run at The Sundowner's old location at a Siglap shophouse. Their new location is at the Old Bukit Timah Fire Station, and this experience will be the same as what was offered in Siglap. Do plan to arrive in the area 15 mins before to find parking. Sessions will start promptly at the appointed time only, and will start and end on time owing to subsequent sessions.

Clarence turned beekeeper overnight, rescuing bees and built the city's coolest rooftop escape. From beekeeping to secret kayaking spots, they'll take you on adventures with Singapore soul.
