Review Body: Absolutely amazing experience! I joined the French baguette baking class, and I loved everything about it. The chef was incredibly welcoming, caring and created such a warm and relaxed atmosphere from the very beginning. I was also really impressed by how well the whole class was organized. We had everything we needed, with very clear step-by-step guidance, exact measurements, and lots of small tips and secrets that made the whole process surprisingly easy — even for those of us baking for the first time! And the result… I honestly couldn’t believe I made this baguette myself. It was crispy, delicious, and probably one of the best baguettes I’ve ever had. Exactly how I love it! What made the experience even more special was that it wasn’t just about baking. At the end we all sat together enjoying freshly baked baguette, onion soup, a cheese plate, and wine. It felt less like a cooking class and more like a wonderful evening with friends with great conversations, interesting people, lots of laughter, and really good food. Such a beautiful experience if you want to learn something new, meet people, and simply have a fantastic evening. I would absolutely recommend it!

Review Body: A Truly Special Baking Experience at The French Cooking Lab We had the absolute pleasure of attending a French baguette baking class at The French Cooking Lab in Singapore, led by the wonderful Chef Eric. I went with my three children aged 22, 19, and 13, and it turned out to be one of the most beautiful and rare bonding experiences we’ve had in a long time. Chef Eric, a French engineer turned baker, was patient, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable. He has perfected a baguette recipe that works wonderfully in Singapore’s humid climate — and we were amazed by how approachable he made the process for beginners like us. His instructions were clear, his energy warm, and his passion truly infectious. Not only did we have loads of fun, but we also left feeling confident and inspired to bake our first baguette at home. It’s rare to find an experience that blends learning, joy, and family connection so seamlessly. Highly, highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy the magic of French baking — and even more so if you’re hoping to create a lasting memory with your loved ones. Merci, Chef Eric! We'll be back.

Review Body: Such a lovely experience. This was my first time ever making bread from scratch, so I walked in feeling a bit curous about the whole process. Eric is incredibly patient and broke everything down step by step, from kneading the dough to understanding how fermentation actually works. I loved that it wasn't just "follow along blindly", he explained the why behind each step, which made it all click for me. Little tips and tricks that probably aren't in any recipe book, just things picked up from experience, made a real difference. By the end, I actually had a loaf I was proud of, which felt like a small miracle for a first-timer. The space itself was absolutely beautiful too, and it doubled as a lovely social dinner — such a nice way to end the class. Highly recommend if you've ever wanted to try bread-making ! Merci Eric !

Review Body: Had the loveliest time making baguettes with Eric at French Cooking Lab. The house itself was already such a vibe; the balcony had the most stunning sunset view, and the whole place just felt warm, hearty and homey (of course!) Eric was also amazing. super friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining throughout. He made the whole class really easy to follow, gave so many small tips and tricks along the way, and even made an app for the class so we could refer back to the steps after his demo. We also got to keep a copy so we can actually try to recreate the baguettes at home, which I loved. Also, the onion soup??? OOOO so much umami, especially paired with a lil cheese platter and warm French toasty baguettes, parfait!! Overall such an amazing day, and it’s BYOB, so bring a bottle for max vibes.

Review Body: The lesson was conducted by an extremely hospitable and friendly teacher. Although I was the only participant, Eric was willing to take me through the hoops. He proceeded to demonstrate the method in baking a baguette and watched me as I duplicated his efforts. His additional tips on what to avoid during the baking process was priceless. Add to the evening the tasting of the freshly baked baguette with beautifully salted butter and other spreads, plus an absolutely breathtaking view of the surroundings, made for an experience to be cherished. Thank you for an incredible introduction to French baking!

Review Body: Fantastic! Eric from French Cooking Lab clearly put in a lot of effort. He was very knowledgeable and gave very detailed explanations on how to bake our bread, such as optimum temperatures, what happens if the temperature deviates a bit and what adjustments he made specifically to suit the Singapore climate. He also created an app which is very easy to use, which some nice QOL features like adjustable amounts for different quantities. I have been to baking classes where we never gone back to try the recipes again. We will definitely make this bread again this coming week!

Review Body: A must - have bread at home every day. It's easy to prepare in less than 2 hours, you can have your fresh, crispy crust, and the texture inside is just right! My employer's son loves it that everytime he comes back from school he goes straight to the kitchen to look for the baguette. It brings joy to see everyone enjoying eating it. Since then no more store-bought bagguettes. Save money+happy tummy! Thanks to Eric's class, it's easy to follow, has shorter preparation times and provides more tips for baking delicious bagguetes. love it!

Review Body: I really hadn't given the baking of baguettes much thought beyond assuming they probably take some effort. This is not the case, although that is definitely because Eric has done a serious amount of homework on how to bake in the Singapore environment. The outcome was a lovely evening with very little pressure, a true understanding of why ingredients can be so important; as well as a great view from the balcony, a glass of wine with some cheese and French onion soup. All of us had successful outcomes. Highly recommended.

Review Body: Had a super fun time learning more about croissants here! The instructor is so warm and friendly. If you want to be able to make croissants and are worried about how difficult they are, this is the place for you! 3h is a good timing and intensity for those who don’t want to sell their soul just to make a croissant once in their life. Really useful class for hands on learners like me. Heard they have a course for domestic helpers as well? Underrated!! Got my eye on the baguette class next. Will be back when I can! :)

Review Body: I attended French baguette making class yesterday. The experience was not only educational but also genuinely enjoyable. Eric first demonstrated the process of making 1 baguette with detailed, well-paced steps with many helpful tips. Eric was very pat, encouraging, and answered all my questions. By the end of the class, I walked away with a deeper understanding of the techniques behind crusty baguettes. I would highly recommend this class. Thank you, Eric, for your sharing. Review Body: This cooking class was absolutely incredible!! I am a terrible cook and thought it would be impossible for me to make a baguette that actually looks and tastes like a real baguette, but Eric led us through the process flawlessly and I left the class with a perfect baguette! Eric was so kind and patient, even with out 9-year-old daughter, who also loved the class and was successful in making her first baguette. I highly recommend this class - it is a great experience for the whole family. Merci, Eric!

Review Body: I have no baking experience but the French baking master Eric perfected the baguette recipe for Singapore even I could follow and remember easily. It was a very enjoyable class and the baguette was crispy outside and soft inside. After one class, I was able to make baguettes at home easily in a short time and my friends who tried the baguette were impressed. French baking lab also had a cool web app in case I want to learn other French pastry. I will not be buying baguettes from stores again!!

Review Body: My helper took a cooking class with Eric and she is now able to make really delicious French baguettes for us everyday! The baguettes are like in France, even better than most expensive bakeries here in Singapore to my taste! My daughters who didn’t like any breads/baguettes my helper used to bake before (following other recipes) are now loving these new baguettes and that makes me so happy as I want them eat homemade breads!.. So I recommend Eric’s classes 100%!! It’s worth every cent!!

Review Body: I had such a great time learning how to make a real French baguette! The best part? It’s a quick recipe and we didn’t even knead the dough! The chef was friendly, fun, and super inspiring. The smell of the fresh bread was amazing. I loved how simple and satisfying the process was. The crust was perfectly crispy, and the inside so light and fluffy. I still can’t believe I made that myself. Now I just want to bake baguettes every day. Can’t wait to do it again!

So thank you for the amazing 3 hours :) my friend and I had such a lovely time at your house and will call more people to do classes here 😉 P.S: THE CROISSANTS TASTED HEAVENLY!!!!! YASSSS!!!
