Make Focaccia in a cosy home kitchen with personal guidance
Focaccia looks simple, but getting that airy crumb, crisp golden crust, and rich olive oil flavour is where many home bakers struggle. Dough that’s too dense, under-proofed, or lacking flavour is incredibly common - which is why learning alongside an experienced baker makes such a difference.Held in a cosy home kitchen, this intimate class is designed to feel approachable, supportive, and genuinely hands-on. With a very small teacher-to-student ratio, you’ll get personalised help throughout the session, whether it’s understanding dough texture, troubleshooting proofing, or adapting recipes to suit the tools and ingredients you already have at home. Your host brings over 10 years of professional baking experience, and shares practical techniques shaped specifically for baking in Singapore’s climate.Over the session, you’ll make focaccia from scratch while learning the small details that give this beloved bread its signature texture and flavour. And because baking is all about generosity and enjoyment, while the dough proofs, you’ll enjoy a tasting set of your host’s signature bakes designed to inspire your own future kitchen experiments. You’ll also create a flavoured butter to pair with your freshly baked focaccia, rounding out the experience in the most satisfying way. What to Expect4-hour join-in baking session in a home settingMake focaccia from scratchLearn how ingredients, dough, and flavours work togetherMake flavoured butter to pair with your breadTaste a set of signature bakes during the sessionAll ingredients and materials includedGuidance from an experienced, professionally trained bakerGood to KnowUseful for home bakers who want tips for baking in Singapore’s climateNo full meal is included, but there is a tasting set during the classThe duration includes a 1 hour break where you can explore your host's neighbourhood, or order food in and hangout with her!

Meet your host

Trained at the Culinary Institute of America and shaped by more than ten years in the baking world, this host started a baking business during Covid, first selling fresh bread and pastries from home. When customers began asking to learn how to make the bakes themselves, the workshops naturally followed. Today, they run hands-on classes in Shio Pan and focaccia, sharing not just recipes but the small details that make bread work. Their teaching style is grounded in real kitchen experience, with a focus on helping people understand the science, build confidence, and enjoy making something warm and satisfying with their own hands.
