Learn to bake classic French pastries from a French baker!
If you've always thought french pastries were too difficult to replicate at home, this class will show you otherwise. Led by a French baker, you'll learn the techniques, tips, and tricks behind classic French pastries, proving that bakery-quality croissants are far more achievable than they seem with the right guidance. You'll choose to make either buttery croissants or pain au chocolat, making this a particularly fun experience to do with a friend or partner so you can try both. Coming solo? Don't worry, you'll still get to taste both pastries from Chef Eric's own baking. Using pre-prepared dough means you can focus on the most important skills: laminating, shaping, and baking, while still learning how the dough is made from scratch. What makes this special is Chef Eric's focus on traditional French techniques and ingredients, alongside practical adaptations for Singapore's climate. Set in a cosy home kitchen, the class ends with warm pastries, coffee, and the confidence to recreate these French bakery favourites in your own kitchen. What to Expect3-hour join-in baking class in a cosy home settingTaste Chef Eric's croissant and pain au chocolat before you startHands-on practice folding, shaping, egg washing and baking the pastriesLearn how the dough is made from scratch while the prepared dough restsAll ingredients, materials, recipes and an apron are providedEnjoy your freshly baked pastries with coffee or tea on Chef Eric's balconyGood to KnowDough is pre-prepared for the session so you can focus on technique within 3 hoursSuitable for beginners, families and home bakers who want to improve pastry skillsRecipes and techniques are adapted for Singapore’s climateThis is a join-in experience, not a private class

Meet your host
Eric started his journey in 2022, blending his French upbringing with a deep love for cooking. Growing up in a family where good food was a daily ritual, he naturally found himself drawn to the kitchen. He trained at the Éric Kayser School and L’Atelier des Chefs, spending hours fine-tuning classic recipes. He’s thoughtful about teaching, believing that with the right steps, anyone can cook a great French meal. His approach is grounded, friendly, and full of care for both tradition and learning.
