The Green Rooms

This option is best for those who would like to have more free time around their surf lessons - whether to practise on their own, or to recover on the beach or with some yoga. This includes 4 days of surf lessons, and 7 nights of accommodation. All levels of surfers are welcome. You can also replace any of the surfing lessons with a yoga session!

To stay at the Green Rooms was the best decision we could make.
 Nice hotel in front of the beach. The waves at this surf spot are perfect for beginner and advanced. We could go surfing every day. They offer also boattrips to the reef, to surf there, wich is super nice too.

The food in the restaurant, wich belongs to the hotel is delicious. You can choose between several meals and the best thing: fresh fish nearly every day.

If you want to have a yoga lesson the stuff is organizing everything for you. There are also yoga lessons in a temple near to the hotel every day.

But the best thing we‘re the people wich are working at the Green Rooms. Everyone is super friendly and heartful.

It was the 3rd time that i stayed in this hostel. The place is located in front of the beach, so in the morning you can check from the balkony if it is worth to go surfing or not. In 4 weeks we had kind of every day good waves, sometimes smaller(perfekt for beginners), sometimes bigger. One thing that you can't find in other hostels are the organised boattrips to the reef, which are really nice! Food perfekt, rooms cleaned and the stuffs always helpfull and supernice to the people!
 I recommend this place for everyone who want to spent an awsome time with awsome people!!

We really loved our stay in the Green rooms. This beautiful and peaceful place is located in the best place in Weligama, sourrounded by everything you need. Beach is washed by waves for surfers, where even begginers can enjoy their surfing lessons during the breathtaking sunset. AJ and stuff are absolutely lovely and definitely made our stay more enjoyable. Everything was perfect food, rooms were clean with nice view. Happy mood was feeld in the air for all our stay long. If you're just getting started here - like myself - you'll be gliding along the waves in no time with the help of the awesome instructors. In the case that you already have experience just grab a board for very cheap renting rates and go rip!

I had such a lovely time at this place. Ecspecially the beachfront hanging place is wonderful. This part of the beach is very clean and has a straight access to a good surfspot. Also Asanka is an experienced instructor and knows all the good spots around. Thanks a lot for the stay!&lt;3

After trying a few surf spots around the world I appreciated the clean waves just in front of the Greenrooms even more. Some days we took the fishing boot and made our way to the reef. Couldn't be a better place to chill, surf and simply enjoy life!! The guys that work at the green rooms are really nice and help you with everything. It's directly at the beach, and in every room you have that beautiful beach view. Surf classes were fantastic, they give classes to beginners and guiding lessons to intermediates.

I always stay at the Green Rooms when I visit Sri Lanka because I just love it there. Nice location right on the beach, the BEST staff ever and good surf! It’s a nice local and authentic feeling over the place that is truly genuine and so lovely. I can really recommend Green Rooms!

Perfect location in weligama bay and the accommodation is great. Really friendly staff and the surf instructors are very good , provided the perfect surf holiday! Was even taken to a reef break by boat - would defiantly recommend to any groups or individuals heading south Sri Lanka

My fiancé and I stayed for 7 nights to do a surf camp and it was unforgettable. The surf instructors are very good and helped us to learn the basics in our first week while having lots of fun. I am not a sporty person and still managed to stand up and surf.
 We also really enjoyed staying at the Green Rooms as the room was very nice and we enjoyed the sea view a lot! But the best thing was the atmosphere. The team was a like a family for the week we were there. Also the food is very nice. Try the pasta with bacon, perfect meal after surfing.

You can hear the ocean and have a shower under the sky. The food is very delicious and also the coffee was very great :-) (this is not common in Sri Lanka).
 The whole stuff is more than just some friendly Singhalese stuff. They made us feel like home. In our 16 days trip to Sri Lanka we already stayed 7 days at the green rooms but after a short journey inside the country we had to go back for our last 3 days. Leaving the green rooms were not easy.
 Thanks to Niran and the rest of the crew for the stay in paradise. We will definitely come back!
