About me
I didn’t always travel the way I do now. I used to bucket-list travel and snap a thousand selfies. Then I met my partner, who travelled more slowly, more ruggedly, and more deeply: connecting with places, chatting with locals, and soaking in everyday life. I fell in love with that way of travelling.
Then I found Seek Sophie, I knew it was for me. Nature. Wildlife. Real stories. The kind of experiences that make you feel something. I also love that I’m constantly learning and growing as I go, becoming a better person through travel, and really living up to what it means to be “seeking Sophie.”
A lifechanging trip for me was...
I haven’t had one single, dramatic life-changing trip. But because I have a huge fear of flying (I think it's control issues), every trip is "life-changing" for me in a different way. Every trip takes such insane amount of energy and courage. And every time I do it anyway, I feel closer to the person I want to become. Taking in new sights. Chatting with locals. Meeting overseas doggos. Watching penguins come home at sunset. Hiking above the clouds. It’s made up of all these small, little moments where I thank myself for doing the hard thing so I feel more alive.
