An Bang Garden Homestay

Loc and Thanh, the co-owners of An Bang Garden Beach are a young couple with a small child. They were born in An Bang fishing village and have grown up there. They would like to share with you a piece of their childhood home and hope that you will be able to find the same love they have for the village. For 7 years, they worked together at The Nam Hai Resort, with Thanh working in a fine dining restaurant and later as a personal butler at a hotel villa, and Loc working in the Security Department. Their immense passion for serving guests motivated them to build their own small villa and welcome people from around the world, share the local customs and culture with them. They hope that you will find this villa to be a home away from home.

We had a wonderful time here. The rooms are large, pristine, and very comfortable. The bed and pillows were amazing! Our room was perfect and we even had a daybed on our balcony. The accommodation was within very close walking distance to An Bang beach and to all the restaurants and attractions nearby. There is also a stunning pool which is perfect for the sweltering Vietnam heat. Thanh and her family were fantastic and she helped us with every request, big and small. They were so kind, and made us feel very welcome and at home. I would recommend this gorgeous place to anyone, and will be staying here in my next escape from Hanoi living.

Liked · The breakfast was delicious. I had eggs one morning and 'my quang' (a noodle dish) the next. The place is beautiful and we loved the location. We were able to walk easily to the beach and to bars and restaurants and to cycle into Hoi An and it was a great experience (despite the terrors of Vietnamese traffic we were fine!). If you want to visit Hoi An in the evening (you absolutely should) then you can take a taxi or tuktuk. The rooms are lovely and the beach nearby (An Bang) is very nice too. We didn't use the pool but it looked great too. Disliked · Very little to complain about really. Everything was great. The only issue we had was minor in that our TV didn't work but it wasn't a big deal for us.

Down a pedestrian/motorbike narrow street, walled An Bang Garden is an explosion of flowers against green grass and the turquoise coolness of an in-ground pool. We were upstairs in a large bedroom with a little sitting area next to a large bathroom. We had windows on three sides which allowed us to open windows at night for cool breezes. Neighboring houses are close—something not quite obvious on the ground floor. Thanh was very communicative in person or electronic (email or WhatsApp). She embraces excellent hosting skills and also gave us wonderful restaurant and sightseeing recommendations. Cleanliness and satisfying breakfasts are a trademark. This may seem like an odd detail but we’ve been in SE Asia for two months and this was the only place that offered a washcloth (along with hand towel and bath towel)!
