Booked a self planned Vietnam Tour via American Lloyd Travel in Singapore and this Cruise Line was highly recommended. Our cruise was in late February 2020 and the ship was only half full. Rooms had small balcony-large windows and were a bit lager than typical cruise cabins with much larger bathrooms than the norm.
The tour was excellent and the service top notch. The floating village was worth the excursion but the trip to the caves was very interesting, make sure you go early so you have time to explore the caves. Too bad the beach was closed for ecological preservation- would have been a great place for a swim.
Dining on the ship was just unreal- small servings but multiple courses and each was an adventure. Veteran of at least half a dozen cruises and the cuisine was by far the best we have encountered. The cruise director made it a point to focus on all guests equally and was very entertaining.
The views at sundown were just fabulous. No point in saving a few dollars and choosing an alternative cruise line- just pay the extra $$ and enjoy.
Tip: pay attention when the ship is at anchor. We saw an elderly woman and her grand daughter row out a skiff and sell some trinkets- black pearls. We bought a few things via sign language and she tossed them right into our balcony.
Wonderful trip in Ha Long Bay. Spacious room for a cruise ship, with small balcony to relax on. Rooms and ship were very clean. Meals were varied and delicious. Itinerary was a great mix of active and relaxing, and it was enjoyable just to hang out on the rooftop deck and enjoy the scenery. The staff was amazing - so friendly, they always remembered every dietary request, and everyone made it a point to engage with the guests. I highly recommend this company and cruise.
We boarded the Athens Luxury Boat for a 1 day trip to Bai Tu Long Bay. The lunch was fabulous, the boat was modern and the accommodations were first class. My only complaint was that the hot tub was cold.
We visited the Vung Vien floating village and kayaked in calm water around an area protected by limestone islands. The scenery was spectacular and the sunset made it even nicer. In the evening we were entertained with a cooking class of Vietnamese cuisine. Then, we participated in some small and primitive squid fishing.
It was a class on Tai Chi in the morning, then off to visit the Thien Cahn Son Cave on on island. We then headed back to the dock. It was a really nice and romantic thing to do for an overnight.
There are hundreds boats surround the area. We chose the cruise because of a recommendation from friends.
It was the right option for our family.
We found the different between cruise service and hotel.
They work harder much more and stay with you for the whole time.
Manager Tim was the best. He was working hard and ensure everything goes smoothly.
The food was amazing. We ate a lot.
A nice trip was made by Tim and all crew members. It was wonderful last few days on the cruise - the Athena royal cruise.
Everything was well organized by manager even the weather .
The boat is very new and nicely designed.
We were appreciated your service.
