Our trip to Mt. Batur was sooo goood! The driver who took us from Ubud and our guide Bidit are all great and super friendly human beings! The way up was challenging but our guide bidit was really calm and helpful along the way. He told us interesting infos about the volcano & prepared nice breakfast on the top. Oh and even became our photographer, hahah he's very good in it! It was slightly cold in the early morning, so you'd better carry some warm clothes. Once the sun began to rise, the sky started changing colors every other minute so the view was indescribable. Soo, please book your trip with them, you will not regret!❤️

My husband and I contacted Bali Volcano Trekking to setup a sunrise hike up Mt Batur and a downhill cycling tour all in the same day. Our experience was truly unforgettable. I was nervous about the hike after reading some reviews, but honestly it wasn't too bad. Our guide, Putu, was great, and he took us to the less crowded viewpoint on the top which also meant we didn't have to go up the super ashy side (though we did go down that way which is certainly easier). The hike up took about an hour and a half so we had an hour to eat and relax at the top. It is cold, so bring layers and I would highly recommend hiking shoes. Going down can be slow given the larger groups, but our experience was really great and Putu was a great guide! After the hike, we headed to the bike ride which was also an awesome experience coordinated by a partner organization. If you are reasonably fit, doing both in one day was completely fine. Highly recommend this!

I loved hiking the Mt Batur Volcano because Jero was my guide! We always went at my pace hiking and running, he had great facts about the region and also took great photos. I hiked before sunrise (but slept comfortably on the way!) I recommend taking a warm jacket for those few cold minutes before the sunrise and go to the hot springs afterwards! (Take fly spray and sunscreen.) The coffee plantation was also fun and delicious. Meet a cute rare animal and sample some great teas and coffees.

This was truly a remarkable experience. The trip planned by Ketut to the last detail-including rain jackets. He even delivered my beloved jumper I'd left behind. We had teens and a young 8 yr old and they loved the adventure. I'm not as fit as I should be and the guides certainly give me a much needed hands up several times! The sun rise when we summited was one of those perfect moments when you feel one with nature. I recommend you try to plan ahead and pack good hiking boots or trainers n hiking socks, sunnies, caps and a windbreaker -it can be quite cold at the top and enough water. Also read up on the history if Mt Batur ahead to really appreciate the trek. Take extra $ to tip your guides-they really are amazing!

My husband and I chose to do the Sunset Trek up Mt Batur rather than wake up so early for the Sunrise! Safe to say it was a great decision! Our driver and guide were both wonderful and very helpful, and I couldn't recommend them both more highly! Worth the hike up to experience the views from the top! Amazing overall experience that my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed! Would highly recommend!
