Kaya Rebel
Nicholas Koh and Leon Lim are the friendly faces behind Kaya Rebel, started in 2025. Both trained chefs—Nicholas from MasterChef Singapore Season 1 and Leon from Season 2—bring serious kitchen chops and a love for local flavours. They’ve taken kaya, a well-loved traditional spread, and given it a new twist with a playful mix of savoury and sweet, and touches of Japanese influence. What makes them stand out isn’t just their creativity, but the thought they put into everything—from pairing with local farms for eggs to working with a social enterprise for fresh vegetables. Their goal’s simple: to make kaya exciting again, while staying true to the roots that make it special.
