Jaja was born in Khao Sok, where his father was one of the rainforest’s most respected hunters. From the age of nine, Jaja learned how to track animals, read the jungle, and survive in the wild. He eventually became one of Khao Sok’s most skilled hunters himself.
But the more time he spent in the forest, the more he realised he loved the animals he was hunting. He didn’t want to kill them anymore.
Today, with 18 years of guiding experience, Jaja leads travellers through the rainforest, sharing his extraordinary jungle knowledge. He has also trained a team of former hunters to become guides — creating sustainable jobs that protect Khao Sok instead of harming it.
