This experience, founded as a cooperative of local artists, was rebuilt after the 2016 earthquake. Visiting helps support the cooperative, allowing local artists to thrive and sustain their craft.

<p>Hello! We're Lan artist collective in the heart of Tembi, a charming village near Yogyakarta.  Founded by Tatang and Aprat, we are an artist collective, showcasing the region's best artists. After being devastated by a local earthquake, our village turned towards tourism so we could become more self-sufficient. Our gallery, attached to Tatang's historic family home, supports local livelihoods and the revitalisation of our community.  Come visit and experience the beauty of batik while making a real difference!
