Dick Sandler founded Our Jungle House in 1989 with a clear vision—creating a place where people could truly connect with nature while preserving Khao Sok’s incredible rainforest. His philosophy of “low density, high value” is reflected across the 25-acre resort, where treehouses and bungalows are carefully spaced to minimize impact on the environment. Under his leadership, the resort has remained committed to sustainability, leaving over 80% of its land untouched and actively replanting native trees. Beyond conservation, Dick has ensured the local community thrives, providing jobs, supporting schools, and sourcing from nearby suppliers. His dedication to both nature and people has made Our Jungle House more than just a place to stay—it’s a model for responsible tourism.
