Our Singapore Reefs
Everything started with a reef survey dive that changed Sam’s life - seeing a washing machine crushing a living coral reef beneath Singapore’s waters. What began as shock turned into action, as she and her friends committed to cleaning up the reefs dive by dive, leading her to co-found Our Singapore Reefs.
As a marine conservationist, Sam spends her days surveying reef health, documenting marine life, leading community dives and teaching at NUS College. Passionate about making marine science accessible, Sam bridges research with real-world action, showing how even small coastal cities can safeguard underwater ecosystems. Her work is a reminder that Singapore’s reefs are alive, fragile, and worth fighting for.
