I chose Bali to enjoy a yoga retreat over the Xmas / NYE holidays because I knew Bali would just simply be awesome. I found Puri Bagus Lovina through and so glad that I went there. There's a beautiful yoga shala/ room with fantastic views of the beach and gardens where you have two daily yoga classes. Ayu was a great yoga teacher and is an excellent massaeur also ! Ayu (another lovely lady) the sales and marketing manager made a program for my stay to take in the wonderful Bali sites. She included some lovely traditional ceromonies which I wasn't expecting and for me and the other yogies very special. I won't spoil the surprise as you'll have to go and find out for yourself. The staff are super lovely and do their best for you. The restaurant manager was always making sure every meal was enjoyable. The chef made my Balinese cooking class fun - the food was awesome ! If you're looking for a peaceful, serene yet active and nourishing soul trip then I'd definitely recommend this place. It's a 2.5 hrs drive from the airport, but it's worth it for the beautiful sunsets. This was the first time I'd been to the north of Bali, which is quieter than the more popular south, and glad that I came here for the yoga retreat. I could have gone to Ubud but I wanted to be by the beach! Definelty get the ocean view room, as I loved my terrace with the ocean view relaxing. I read loads! Loved the food. Loved the people. Love Bali. Xxx

OK but I wouldnt write home about the place. I went for a yoga retreat and ,,,, well... underwhleming really. The room were clearly something when they were first build but are looking tired now. The staff were freindly, but in that fake 'i'll get in to trouble if I am not nice' sort of a way. Try to meet some locals while there, they are great!!

what a beautiful place! i came to Puri Bagus not knowing what to expect. The journey to get there was quite long but so worth it. when i arrived the staff were so helpful and always there to assist and make me feel at home. I came here for a yoga retreat, all the yoga teachers were great. we had yoga twice a day which was amazing and helped me get into a routine. the settings were incredible, such a peaceful and relaxing place. if you are looking for a quiet place to get away from all the craziness of every day life then tis si the perfect place to do this. The rooms are very spacious with a great indoor and outdoor shower. there was a lot of attention to detail. -I love how they would provide mosquito cream every day, which saved me -water bottles and fruit in the room every day -put beautiful flowers on my bed The only area i would say that could do with some improvement would be the restaurant. the food was okay but it would have been better to see more Indonisian food on the menu rather then Italian. as being Italian myself it was not very authentic so having traditional beautiful indonisian food would have been amazing. the breakfast was great, so much fresh fruit and lovely fluffy pancakes i had pretty much every day. overall my stay here was brilliant and i would highly reccommend this place :)

I stayed for 8 nights at the Puri Bagus Lovina resort about 2 weeks ago now and I ABSOLUTELY loved it. The staff were amazing, the room was HUGE, I had an indoor and outdoor shower, and any minor issue I had with the room the maintenance staff was there right away to assist. The spa is fantastic as well! I took part in the yoga retreat and I am so happy that I did. The yoga was great and the excursions that were included were even better. Because Lovina isn't a large touristy spot I really got to experience the culture of Bali and out of my 2 weeks in Bali I have to say that I enjoyed my time in Lovina the most. The food at the resort is also delicious. I am vegan and gluten free and both were catered too wonderfully. I could not ask for anything more. Thank you for everything!

We booked an ocean view villa, and were immediately impressed with how spacious and beautifully the room was preared for us. So many special little touches (flowers, fruit, soft bathrobes), and especially loved the outside shower! We could just take a few steps to the beach, to the spa, a covered shore side sun bed, or lounge by the pool. Puri Bagus was just the right size for us. It's large enough to have all the amenities we wanted, but small enough that the staff soon knows you by name. We booked a yoga retreat package - it was amazing. Beautiful wood yoga facility beside the ocean, two wonderful instructors, Cadet and Gusti. We had a daily scenic or cultural excursion or activity, with still lots of time to relax. And the food....simply delicious! The hotel managers, Ayu and Keta, were so attentive that we felt pretty special. Thank you for an excellent stay. Gerry and Christine
