Ruby Perkasa started Wailuli Speedboat in 2024 with a small team from Bandung who truly know the sea. Having spent years in maritime tourism, they noticed just how important it is to offer safe, smooth island travel that’s also kind to the local communities and the ocean. Ruby and the crew make it a point to hire and train local staff, work with small island businesses, and take real steps to cut down on waste at sea—like using less plastic and supporting clean-up efforts. It’s clear they care about doing things properly, while making sure travellers get where they’re going comfortably and responsibly.
