Review Body: There is a range of prices available for Rafting in Bali ranging from 350,000 rupiah to 1,200,000 rupiah. They all offer the same services,
Complimentary shuttle pick & drop
Changing facilities, locker rafting and lunch. The only difference between this and Bali Adventure Rafting ( more expensive) is the poshness of facilities and safety instructions ( I'm presuming ).
However, Ayung Dewata had;
1.Safety Lockers
2.Clean changing facilities ( with clean, laundered towels) , plastic bags for wet clothing.
3.Great organisation ( I enquired about rafting at 8 am and asked lots of questions via WhatsApp. By 10.30 they had sent a chauffeur for pick up)
4.Paid on arrival. They even accepted our English currency and converted into Rupiah at a good rate.
5. Safety jackets and helmets.
6.Our guide didn't speak fluent English, however he communicated everything necessary; chiya chiya ( row backwards)
Woohoo ( row forwards)Stop and if we fell in the river float backwards.( Which nobody it!!)
The adventure began and was amazing.
The scenery is amazing. In the heat of day, the water splashing in was brilliant.
Most importantly, there are so many rafts in the river that the atmosphere was fantastic, lots of splashing other rafts and races made the experience so much fun.
After an hour you stop for a break ( the drinks and snacks are a bit more expensive than normal Indonesian prices, however isn't that true globally?
After the refreshments we continue for another hour.
When we finished ( an exhilarating adventure) we had to walk back really long stairs back to HQ for bathing and changing and an excellent buffet. ( Lots of variety).
For it's price and service. This was an excellent activity.
Not to be missed!!!!!!!

Review Body: I am so pleased that our driver organised this trip, had I known at the beginning about the stairs from hell to walk up at the end I would have said no way. I am fit and excercise five times a week, but blow me down I have short legs! There was a walk down to the river, steep at times but you have your oar to help as the carved steps are uneven.
The rafting was amazing and our guide was funny and we got to do a few extra things as only the three of us in the boat.
You stop about 2/3rds through for a beer, juice or whatever then in arrive at the river base.
To my shock horror, after walking up the initial steps we came to a field and we were looking up at a cliff face with a winding track and steps to get to the top. EEK!
All would be fine if I had long legs, but these steps are high, so forever struggling to put one foot up in front of the other. I have no idea how some of the older over 60's people got up at all.
So think twice people, amazing experience, we got a good deal through our driver, but you need to be fit, and if you have kids, even fitter as you may need to carry them up.

Review Body: First time river rafting and the guides gave very clear instructions. The guides are all very experienced and prioritise the safety of their guests, making it an enjoyable and safe experience. The river is not too rapid and is suitable for children as well as adults. It does have its thrills though, such as areas with faster current, especially in the rockier areas where the water flows quickly. You don't feel any discomfort from the rocks due to the high quality of the raft, but you do feel the thrill of the ride.
The view of the jungle was also amazing; you literally ride a raft through a tropical rainforest. Along the way, you'll also get to see and stop at a small waterfall. The guides also point out along the way beautiful carvings on the rock surfaces on either side of the river.
Around 2 hours long with a break in between. Plus you get lunch at the end as part of the package. 100% worth it. There are, however, around 400 stairs altogether that you'll have to climb and up down at the beginning and end of your rafting adventure to get to and from the river.

Review Body: My first time White Water Rafting, and I loved it! Highly recommended: picked-up from hotel, driven to base camp, kitted-up, then down to the river for safety talk. Excellent guide, made sure we were all okay, very funny, too.
Hit our first rapids just a few meters after leaving the base, quite exhilarating!
About two & half hours on the river, good mix of exciting rapids and slow, calmer stretches, when we had time to relax and enjoy the truly magnificent scenery.
There was an opportunity to jump in for a swim, for those who fancied it, we were also taken under a thundering waterfall, quite an experience!
Stopped off for a very welcome cold beer part way through, before continuing to the exit point.
The only down-side were the steps, quite a few of them. Not too bad going down, but I really could have done without the climb back up at the end!
Still, it was well worth it.
Back to base camp for a hot shower, and a very nice buffet lunch, before being returned to our hotels.
I'll certainly be doing it again!

Review Body: First they'll drop you from the starting point, and then a descent of about 150 stairs between trees to the boats. Then the awesome rafting begins! A boat usually carries up to 6 people and they provide all the security equipment and a short safety briefing too. The scenaries are seriously beautiful! There are beautiful small waterfalls falling into the river, and the rapids are great! And some stone carvings along the rock in river bank were really amazing!
It's a 10km ride and Midway they stop for refreshment which you can buy if you need. You don't need to bring money, you can pay when you reach the place back.
When you reach the end, you get off and there's a climb of about 200 steps. And there'll be a vehicle waiting to get you to the starting place. There you'll have a buffet lunch, which was really above our expectations!
This is a MUST do in Bali! Don't leave Ubud without doing this!

Review Body: Some of our group had never been white water rafting before and absolutely loved it. Such a great first experience for them. Pick up from hotel is punctual and air conditioned. The walk to the starting point is quite a nice trek through rice fields and jungle so it is a nice way to start the experience. Our guide had a good sense of humour and made the experience even more enjoyable. See rock carvings along the river, stop at a water fall and slide down a dam. Lunch is quite tasty too. Buffet style with lots of vegetarian options. Would definitely recommend. Be warned though, we did see some people struggling on the stairs to get back up at the end.
We accidentally left a couple of our belongings in the change rooms and didn’t realise until we got back to our accommodation. We phoned the company and they were more than happy to drop them back to us which was so lovely and without hassle.

Review Body: we reached ayung dewata rafting at 1pm and waited for another 10 min for other people. one raft can fit max 6 people but ours was 5. after they fitted us with safety equipment, we were transported by a car to the pit stop and we hv to go down 300 steps of stairs, some of them are pretty steep. this was the hardest part for us. the rafting was easy and fun. Our guide, balok was very friendly and funny. he always made sure we are safe and entertained.
along the way we stopped at the rest area for some drinks. the price was much more expensive but what do you expect? we were in the middle of nowhere.
the view along the river was sooo pretty, we passed a lot of waterfall and stopped at the biggest one.
on the way back we had to climb another 200 steps of stairs and transported back with a shuttle.
overall, it was a fun day! thank you bli balok!

Review Body: this is not our first exsperience, but this is first in ayung dewata rafting that we had joined,... the interesting one that we got is... we are not foreign people but putu who is our guide from ayung dewata rafting is treat us same like as the foreigner, actually we would like to apreciate him as the best guide for us. In line he can changes the dangerous atmospher on the river as the fun situation. (the noted, that from him is.. he really care with us as we know we are the local people {balinese people} and so what about if he with the foreigner, I thing he will doing the best one { he totally worth it}.....!!!!!!!!!
But, we had really tired when we going down to the river and up from the river {to much stairs}
:(
it was our perfect feeling, in addition we will be back with other partner.

Review Body: We had a great time rafting with a superb guide! Be aware that there are a lot of steps to and from the river and we saw some fit people struggling with the walk.
Don’t be put off by it and go for this adventure book through Bali Tour Guide (you will see a separate review from me) they get you a great price.
Once you have had your basic instructions off you go....don’t worry about the instructions the water is only waste deep in most places, do as the Instructer tells you take in the views and you will have a great time, some stunning scenery!
Use these people as they seem higher up and go further up the river so maybe more expensive but you will see that a lot join the river further down.
A great day out our guide was great but my legs are feeling it today

Review Body: After careful consideration, Ayoung Dewata Rafting was everything, and more that we had hoped to for. Extremely professional, the staff went out there way to make sure our experience was safe, fun and thrilling. Lunch provided was great and over looks rice fields. The two hour trip down Ayung River was delightful, it was like scenes from Jurassic park. Extremely thrilling rapids for all levels, for those less confident the guides take this consideration and smooth out the trip for you. Also, our driver Mr Lee picked us from Kuta, he’s very professional, funny and a genuine nice person, he took us to a coffee plantation and the giant swing before our rafting in the afternoon. High recommend Mr Lee as a driver while you stay in Bali +6285337895884

Review Body: Just came back from rafting. It was lots of fun combined with amazing views, waterfalls, some adrenalin and a filling lunch. You will definitelly get wet, and by wet I mean dripping water from your waist down (at least), so go in a swuimsuit and bring a change of clothes (leave them in the lockers at the facility). For those wearing glasses - the guide gives you a rubber band to make them sit on your face with no risk of falling off. Contact lenses are better as you get drenched and go under some waterfalls. There is also a pretty long walk down the stairs to the river and back up. Tje views from the river are amazing. All in all - a great time out. Would do it again any time.

Review Body: It's a half day fun-filled activity. It's quite beginner level rafting. The instructors are well experienced to take you through rapids. We had a mid way stop near a water fall, where we took a shower. We saw lot of small water falls on the way. Ayung Dewata's services were quite good. They picked us from our Villa (driver had to walk a bit to find our Villa). They provided good rafting equipments and towel. The place to take shower after the rafting was neat and clean. Lunch was included in the package and it was good.
We had to walk around 300 steps to reach the river before and after the rafting.

Review Body: We arranged the rafting through our lovely taxi driver for 250k IDR per person. It was great value for a half day rafting plus a basic lunch buffet (rice or noddle with chicken). Their office is located a short Scotter (20mins) from Ubud. Once you arrive you can keep your belongings in a locker or bring your phones in the guides waterproof bag. You will then proceed on a long scenic walk down to the valley to the river, be prepared for lots of steps.
During the trip you pass through stunning scenery with monkey crossings above, hindu wall carvings and waterfalls.

Review Body: We were picked up from our accom and taken to the rafting headquarters, had 1.5 hours on the water, then driven back to headquarters for a buffet lunch before being driven back to our accom. For 3 of us this cost NZD 90, amazing value. The river was beautiful, high walls covered in jungle foliage. The water wasn’t too deep and we got stranded a few times but our guide saw us right. And there were a few hairy rapids. We did stop for very expensive drinks at one point (NZD5 for one coconut) but given the overall value we sucked that up. Highly recommended!

Review Body: I loved every second of the rafting, it's about 5 minutes to get to the river walking down a hill, but when you get to the bottom it's totally worth it. Our guide was funny and informative and we felt completely safe the whole way. The views are out of this world and we even seen monkeys. If I had to complain about anything, for lunch my friend and I are both vegetarian and the rest of our group are not. They had chicken and rice and I think they have just picked the chicken out of our meals and there were still are few bits left

Review Body: Such a fantastic experience with Neki and Agus. Both these guys were so entertaining and made our rafting trip so memorable. The trip itself is a must do in Ubud with stunning views of the rainforest river Ayung with lush greenery and breathtaking stone carvings done on the bank. Angus and Neki made it even more fun with their various fun tactics.
The steps down to the raft and the return journey too have fantastic views. We did it with a 6 year old and he too thoroughly enjoyed it.
It’s a must do.

Review Body: I highly recommend this company to try rafting near Ubud. Return pickup, stunning view over the rice field, lockers, hot shower/body wash/shampoo/towels, delicious traditional Balinese food, speak English, waterproof bag, etc. Amazing view all the way down the river (forest, rocks sculptures + best way to see the waterfalls). Great thrills, cool guides, safe and lots of fun.
Special mention to those incredible people working there who made this journey even more enjoyable!
See you soon!

Review Body: A really fun rafting trip! Very gentle and Wayan was a fun guide. The walk down to the river is long(350 steps). i consider myself in good shape but by the time I got to the river, my legs were rubber!!! The walk up is not as difficult, but my husband had a tough time as had a knee replacement 5 months prior. Sweet Wayan and another guide walked on each side of my husband and helped him all the way back to the top...they were rock stars!!! Thanks for a fun day!!!
