Review Body: Great place in the middle of nowhere with a fantastic surrounding. The rooms are simple but very clean. No mosquito nets available. The staff, especially the manager, is extremely friendly and helpful, the food is cheap and great.
We did 2 rainforest trekking tours, to Lion rock (50€ per person) and to the waterfall (30€ per person). The Lion rock tour was supposed to be a 24 km hike through the rainforest but in the end it was only 13 km (tracked by GPS watch) but still challenging because of steep ascent and dense vegetation. You get rewarded with a great view so just do it if you are in a good shape.
The waterfall tour was a tourist nap. You walk along the river on more or less fixed footpathes to reach a waterfall which you share with many other tourists.
No card payment accepted so bring enough cash with you to pay the accomodation and the trips.

Review Body: I first went for a day, but as a nature lover i couldnt leave, i did the lion rock hike(24 km ) trought the rain forest, Incredible when u reach the top, stunning views. also some waterfalls trails wich you can swim in.
Apartments clean, managment staff really friendly and very welcoming, with supernice views from the rooms and the cherry of the cake, an outdoor swiming pool.
Food also very nice on the hands of sashi and ruhan.

Review Body: Loved my stay here. New, clean eco cabins. Great service and good food. Very close to entrance to Sinharaja Forest. Really enjoyed 6-7 hour hike with guide, great scenery. The forest and place is a bit difficult to get to, so plan ahead. Would have liked to stay longer.

This is a 4-hour walk in Sinharaja Rainforest on a flat path. You can also take a dip in the Kakunalla Waterfalls! Spot Sri Lankan endemic birds, animals, reptiles and plants. You will be provided with all necessary details and explanations about all the flora and fauna species throughout the tour.
